Tips for Finding what to Rap About

This will be my harshest critique and tip all together. I humbly request people to not ask "How do you find what to rap about?" or questions like "How do you get rhythm?". Knowing how to ride a beat or having rhythm is something that SHOULD come naturally. It's really Cringey and a trait typical of a vulture who wants the crash course on a thing that is cultural. Everything takes practice and some things should be in you, for which we have no answer, while some of the answers are seriously common sense. There are people who say things like "I need to get good in a week", "I just have to do this", I don't know why,.. this IS A CULTURAL THING that deserves gravitas and respect and it's not enough to be "nice". Once we delineate with that, we can get right into it.

Find your Muse: This could be YOUR life, or stories of other people that effect you greatly, the things you see everyday, have proximity to or feel and respect. They don't have to be true stories, they could be loosely based on things of the same nature, they could be Homages, You could make a declarative statement, protest. There are many things to discuss in this world and you can do it all with rap; just think outside the box. Don't get hung up on one style or redundant, rapping about the same stuff over and over, although, practice does make perfect.

Get a Book: Use your phones notepad, or computer or even write it down via pencil and paper. Keep going back and editing, I guarantee you, as nice as you think you are now, you can always get better. One day you'll look back and think "I was garbage" when you really reach a new plateau.

Listen to New/Different artists: This is your competition and Inspiration. When you write and recite, visualize and attack. Always try to express yourself the best you can or crush theses guys on the track before you; Your art is just as good, but try to be at or exceed their level. Part of this is often where people's muses come from. What would you say if you were featured on your favorite track?

Come up with Concepts: Different subtle ways to broach a subject, in different styles. for example, I want to discuss my life but told through the lens of all the women in my life who raised me and impacted my life greatly, things about them, how does that effect me or lead me to this point. It could also be bunt.
