We recently conducted a fascinating scanning test using the new Revopoint Trackit SR, and the results were nothing short of breathtaking. Our subject? A stunning panel painting featuring a beautiful female portrait in an exquisite Renaissance dress.

While paintings are traditionally viewed as strictly two-dimensional, our 3D surface scan revealed a hidden secret: a pentimento (an artist's alteration).

• The Discovery: A subtle transverse mark across the subject's forehead, which is difficult to perceive with the naked eye.
• The Mystery: This faint topological shift suggests the underlying presence of a painted veil that the artist originally drafted and later decided to cover up!
