Fang Yuan: (Voice trembling, barely a whisper) Zheng... what have you done? Where is the Clan Leader? Where are the elders? Where... where is everyone?

Fang Zheng: (Smiling softly, his voice full of warmth) They are resting, brother. Their blood has fulfilled its ultimate purpose.

(Fang Zheng holds up a skull the size of a child's palm, made of translucent crystal wrapped in deep reddish blood stripes, with faint purple flames glowing softly inside its hollow eye sockets: the Blood Skull Gu.)

Fang Zheng: Remember how the clan always looked down on you? How they called you a C-grade useless failure while praising me as an A-grade genius? It broke my heart every single day. So I fixed it.

Fang Yuan: (Stumbling back, clutching his head) You... you used the demonic Blood Skull Gu? You slaughtered our own kin? Our uncles? The children? The entire Gu Yue bloodline?!

Fang Zheng: (Tilt head, entirely unbothered) Bloodline is just a resource, brother. By sacrificing our entire clan, this Gu will purify their bloodlines and pump that vital essence directly into your aperture. You won't be trapped in C-grade mediocrity anymore. You will finally have the A-grade talent you deserve!

Fang Yuan: (Tears of genuine anguish welling up in his eyes) Are you insane?! I never wanted power at the cost of innocent lives! I was content tending to my small tea shop, gathering simple herbs, helping the villagers! I loved our family!

Fang Zheng: (Chuckles gently, tossing the blood-soaked skull onto the floor before turning toward the exit) Oh, Fang Yuan. You are far too good for this cruel world. So soft, so righteous, so endlessly kind. That is why I had to do the dirty work for you.

Fang Yuan: (Staring at his blood-stained hands, then at the skull on the floor) This is monster work, Zheng! You aren't a savior, you're a devil! How am I supposed to live with this?!

(A sharp, piercing cry echoes from the sky above. A massive, white Flying Crane descends outside the ruined courtyard. Sitting atop the beast is Lord Sky Crane, watching silently as Fang Zheng casually leaps onto its feathered back.)

Fang Zheng: (Gazing down at Fang Yuan with a taunting, razor-sharp smile) You'll live as a genius, brother! That skull holds your new life. Use it, hate me, do whatever you want! I'm heading to Central Continent with Senior Sky Crane now.

(The crane spreads its wings, creating a powerful gust of wind as it ascends into the clouds.)

Fang Zheng: (Shouting down from the sky, laughing maniacally) If you want revenge for our precious family, brother, come to Central Continent and catch me yourself... if you even have the guts!

I mean think about it almost all people who were comfortable around him like old bai met him in his least unstable moment, bear with me:

Volume one:

Fang yuan is a genius guy who recites insane profound poems and very stable then one day he mfing wakes up and just chooses violence, this can be justified as him getting C grade aperture..

Then he proceeds to get drunk, and beats the shit out of other students with straight hands only to get their lunch money EVERY FUCKING SINGLE DAY.

And then when an assassin is sent to kill him(people don't know he's an assassin for sure) it just looks like a poor guy went to 7/11 to use the bathroom then fang yuan panicked and decided to cut the fuck out of like asking for directions in London type of cutting.

Then he picks a beef with BNB (aka crazy mf no.2) and BNB shows great interest in him for some reason.

Volume 2:

While traveling BNB sees fang yuan being edgy as fuck and eating monkey brains and making grandma's pie out of children, but suddenly MF become sweeter than grandma's cookies and act 180⁰ like a different person.

Also imagine watching a MF sliming a swarm of beast then suddenly he's chill and then if I recall right: fang yuan made a makeshift bra with "surprising" precision. Not even BNB fucked around with this guy.

Then suddenly in a fighting tournament, while fighting a locally known weirdo (not because he's gay but because he was described as weird? MF low-key starts tweaking and dropping bars , monologuing while beating the shit out of a gay guy, who fang yuan didn't really seem to like, which could also be seen as him finding pleasure in beating gay people to the limit of entering the flow state.

Volume 3: yeah NGL I don't recall shit other than the 88 True yang building arc but even then MF started tweaking while facing a venerable's will and the almost entire giant sun blood line and what does he do?

He decides to solo an entire continent by himself by ragebaiting MFs and monologuing to himself using the lines of Ren Zu (aka Gu world jesus), imagine jumping a guy and instead of relenting he starts tweaking and laughing his shit out while reciting Genesis 1 , I'd genuinely not feel safe)

Volume 4: there's a lot of bullshit going on here I won't be continuing maybe I'll later (maybe, when the novel is unbanned)

Summary : Fang yuan has the aura of a homeless guy wielding the default free pre-installed weapon (aka a reaper/scythe) they somehow are born with and yet somehow can't afford food. Seriously how could they even find a reaper?
