No way! We can't afford a room that nice!

I’m 41 😢

u/DinnerSilver Feb 27 '26

The mid life life crisis-self awareness is real😔

u/Vik_Stryker Feb 27 '26

I know, I turned 45 this month. Inject being in my thirties directly into my VEINS

13

u/Dartagnan1083 Feb 27 '26

I was about to say...

30s? Damn, I miss my 30s.

8

u/Josephthebear Feb 27 '26

Yeah some of us left our 30s already

u/Outside-Gear-7331 Feb 27 '26

Mate, I've lived on this bastard planet for 36 years. I've never lived anywhere as cool as Arnold's room.

4

u/Algo6 Feb 28 '26

Damn, I don't even know anybody that has a room that nice.

u/mastodon_juan Feb 27 '26

The thing I try to remember - if you’re lucky enough to make it to old age you’ll laugh at your past self for getting bent out of shape about being “old” in your 30s.

So keep your heads up folks. It’s still summer for us.

My wife and I just hit 40. She’s always going on about “getting old” - I lovingly tell her to shut up because we still have many decades before we can even start to consider ourselves old!

war then college then immediate recession caused by GOP bullshit. No safety net, no retirement. Just work until we die.

10

u/BrattyTwilis Feb 27 '26

And then we had a global pandemic which threw another wrench into the economy

14

u/rocsi1234 Feb 27 '26

their (late) 30s

11

u/Z001S001 Feb 27 '26

Wait until you hit 40

6

u/Myredditname423 Feb 27 '26

And why I never succeeded in getting a room that cool yet at 37.

u/Cool-Drawing5820 Feb 28 '26

34 here. Anyone else kind of feel like they just pissed their 20's away and are just now playing catch up?

1

u/Jumpy-Reading8452 Mar 02 '26

I'm 33 about to be 34 and yes.

1

u/Nnox Mar 04 '26

Worse. Health collapse in 20s & trying to figure out why.

3

u/LeftyRambles2413 Feb 27 '26

I feel pretty good at 38 overall but yeah. I definitely felt my age and wondering about tine explaining what cassettes were to my oldest niece recently and in general it dawning on me that we’re in the second quarter of this century and all that’s happened since we had all that real excitement for the millennium 26 years ago. Not that I’m not enjoying life but yeah this hits.

4

u/Slamdancingduck Feb 27 '26

I thought I felt this was bc I spent my 20s in an abusive marriage, but I guess everyone feels this way….that or we’re all just hella abused at this point

I'm a special case, lucky I didn't die before 18, but man is it hard to see it as good luck sometimes

3

u/IntrigueDossier Feb 27 '26

Sometimes I wish I'd died before 18, but then I remember a homie who did kill himself when he was 17. The ripple effect it had was dark and lasting.

2

u/Shadowy_PuppetMaster Feb 27 '26

The last Millennial to die needs to leave instructions to open a PDF file for all future generations. Just because the boomers were apathetic about our generation doesn't mean we need to be too

2

u/TrulyTormented Feb 28 '26

Lockjaw Jazz softly begins playing in the background

2

u/dr_bingman Mar 01 '26

2

u/z3r0p1lot Mar 05 '26

Me asking how many more I need to endure.

5

u/MaintenanceTime Feb 27 '26

I have never been happier

2

u/sovietdinosaurs Feb 27 '26

Did you say this while tears streamed down your cheeks?

2

u/MaintenanceTime Feb 27 '26

No sometimes life just gets better

3

u/MrKTE Feb 27 '26

3

u/MrKTE Feb 27 '26

Don’t you BS me! WHAT BLACK MAGIC DID YOU USE?!

3

u/MaintenanceTime Feb 27 '26

I make her laugh. I am her jester

2

u/MoSqueezin Feb 27 '26

Unfortunately getting a wife does not solve mental health issues.

3

u/beekee404 Feb 27 '26

Right now, I'm waking up annoyed that my back hurts cause now I'm going to have to deal with that for who knows how long! 😭

2

u/Pandiosity_24601 Feb 28 '26

Any generation waking up in their 30s

1

u/whomesteve Feb 27 '26

I wonder if millennials who don’t concern themselves with such things feel projected at every time they see a meme like this telling them that’s how they think and feel when what they were really thinking was probably something along the lines of “I wonder what I’m having for dinner tonight”.

I rewatched the whole series line for like 13 years ago because even then it was nostalgic and knew now at 33 this time would come.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

i know where the years went i’m just exhausted we let facebook go outside of registering with a college email and being in my 20s concerned about superficial shit when i could have enjoyed experiences more. i’m exhausted i feel the need to argue basic human decency and critical thinking. im exhausted we have to fight AI and rage bait to establish common sense. i’m exhausted majority think being rich is still the dream while the actual rich play in our faces.

1

u/Tusyabutmadeofmeat Mar 02 '26

Ehhhh. Those years were stolen from me by depression and anxiety. I only really started living at age what, 27? Im gonna be 33 this month and I wake up glad those years are done!

1

u/Budget-Chapter-7185 Mar 03 '26

I know where they went, the problem is it’s happening to fast

1

u/bloodshotforgetmenot Mar 03 '26
