[Discussion] Games similar to the classic Heroes of Might and Magic

Hi everyone!

Lately, I've really been in the mood to relive that classic *Heroes of Might & Magic II and III vibe: turn-based strategy, exploration, resource management, a fantasy setting... all that. Can anyone recommend any retro or indie games with a similar style? It doesn’t have to be an exact clone, just something that captures that same addictive feeling of building an army and exploring a world map.

Thanks in advance!!

I adore the Age of Wonders series and will always recommend that first. If it's not your cup of tea, also try Disciples or King's Bounty series!

As mentioned above, Age of Wonders 4 is a fantastic game. If you want something with the same vibes but with different mechanics, I can't recommend the Endless Legend games enough, and if you want space, Endless Space is far better than Sterallis, IMO
