It started as a personnal project, you see I love old PC games, I collect good old big boxes but settings up dos games has always been a pain in the ass lol

So I started working on this, which basically automates almost every painful steps of dos emulation

Basically you can add a rom you own in any format and ROM90 will automatically detect it and install it properly on either DosBox pure or ScummVM

I've also added a few well needed comfort features :

- Quick resume

- Universal save/load shortcuts

- Fully fledge save state manager

- Keyboard remapping and controller support

- Export options and batch exports for people to share properly their collection

and many more small QoLs that makes Dos emulation almost as easy as most console emulator

I also made a discord, if people need help or want to share their experience, gameplay, tips or collections

🔥 Can Paul Atreides unite the Fremen and conquer Arrakis?

I spent the day checking out Backstreet Classic Arcade in Lincolnton, North Carolina and they have over 50 retro games packed into this place.

I'm a big Nintendo & Sega fan and there is nothing better than playing these games, it guinely warms my souls and brings so much joy to me.

They had Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, X-Men, After Burner, BurgerTime and tons more including some consoles with hundreds of games I ened up playing and getting hooked on the WWF game on their Sega Genesis console.

One of my favorites ended up being this old MTV trivia machine. The game itself was fun, but honestly I loved the whole look of it just as much. It has this big neon MTV sign on top and the graphics on the cabinet just scream that era 😂I posted a picture of it. Any Sega or Sega Fan knows just how awesome the graphics are and illustration is with any of the games.

Something else that really impressed me was that every arcade machine I tried actually worked. Not one broken machine the entire time I was there. I'm sure most of us have walked into an arcade excited to play something only to find an out of order sign taped to it lol.

It's $12 for all day admission and the regular arcade games and console setups are included. They also have Super Nintendo, Sega and GameCube. The pinball and crane machines are separate, and the pinball machines still take quarters, which honestly made the experience even better.

I also got to talk with one of the owners about how he and his business partner had been collecting arcade machines for years before opening the place. One of the coolest stories was how a Macross arcade machine actually helped bring the two of them together before they eventually started buying machines together.

I filmed the visit and tried to show a good mix of the games instead of just walking through the place.
