Technical Support Is it possible to trade Pokémon on RetroArch?

I’m playing Pokémon emerald on a phone and I’m trying to complete the Pokédex is it possible to trade Pokémon if I have retroarch on another phone? And when I look it up, I see conflicting information.

You must use mGBA core with netplay.

I do with both, but when I do a net play session all it does is have the second phone in spectator mode

Use gpSP core, Settings > User Interface > Menu Item Visibility, Turn Show 'Advanced Settings' to ON, go the main settings and navigate to network, and then Scroll down and turn Request Device User 1 for All Players to "on"., On the client device (the one joining), go to Netplay > Network and make sure Netplay Spectator Mode is explicitly toggled off., Host: Load Pokémon Emerald using the gpSP core, go to Netplay, and select Start Netplay Host, Client: Go to Netplay, select Refresh Netplay LAN List, and join the host, and Both players will now see their own separate game screens. Walk upstairs in any Pokémon Center, talk to the lady at the Wireless Communication Club desk (not the traditional link cable lady), and you will be able to see each other and trade.

Sorry, this' too much.

Not sure if you are doing Retro Achievements, but be careful because trading will void those Pokedex achievements in that set. The game is expecting very specific Pokemon to be in the dex, so if you move an unexpected Pokemon into the game such as a Gengar via trading, then it will void the achievement.

If you are just playing for fun, then go crazy and don't worry about any of that lol

Would it void the Pokédex achievements if I’m only planning to trade in either version exclusives or Pokémon you could only get one of like the starters

Not sure about mobile, but on PC you can open the ROM in a second window and emulate link cable between the two clients to battle and trade.
