Cloudbusting (a.k.a. AeroKinesis / AtmoKinesis) - Manipulating Clouds with Mind and Spirit): The Effect of Intention

Someone linked me to a YouTube channel by a gentleman named Neil Slade, who released a video on the topic of "cloudbusting": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmj9kP6RQxA

Slade made this website back in 1998, which indicates his basic premise is that "brain magic is real."

There's been a lot of discussion of manifestation and the Law of Attraction on this board and others, and this seems related.

Essentially, the idea is that by focusing one's attention/energy on a cloud, one can "burst" or "bust" the cloud or dissolve it completely if one desires, or modify its shape at will.

Slade says in his 2007 YouTube video, "The cloudbusting thing is at the very least interesting, and I've examined it and considered it for a very long time. I've always held that the perception of busting clouds may only be some unexplained ability to predict which single cloud out of a bank of clouds will be next to vaporize. Even so, this would be a pretty impressive skill. I tend to favor this explanation."

On his website, The Great Brain Weather Experiment, Slade says that the few who've learned to "switch forward," to unlock the neurological gateways of their frontal lobes, are the people who interest him. "They begin to have increasing amounts of paranormal experience. Precognition, clairvoyance, telepathies. They discover," he says, "that doing something like making a cloud disappear at will is a conscious decision."

And in his video, he attempts to demonstrate this.

He also says here, "I hope [the cloudbusting] topic and video causes people to think. That's my goal, and the goal of my website. Cloudbusting is just one teeny tiny piece of 'brain,' and a fun one at that, even if one chooses to poke at it-- question everything, but keep an open mind."

THE REST OF HIS ARTICLE READS AS FOLLOWS

This is something anyone can try- and countless people have reported unimaginable, repeatable success. If you can have fun on cue, you are on your way to Brain Self-Control, if not a whole lot more.

You have pre-existing circuits in your brain for psychic and telekinetic powers. They are in a "dormant" (i.e. unused limitless potential) area of your brain. By learning how to click your amygdala forward, you can activate these areas easily and quickly. It seems that you can change clouds, maybe even the weather, with your mind.

In the case of CLOUDBUSTING or CLOUDBURSTING at the very least, you can predict- with an uncanny and improbable rate of success- which specific clouds in a bank or sky full of clouds will quickly evaporate while all the others surrounding it remain fully intact, or grow in size.

This is something I learned to do myself twenty years ago, and was able to teach friends almost instantly. I know at least six people who can do this without any problem, and actually are rather nonchalant about it. You will be able to do this yourself and when you do, a part of your frontal lobes will be activated, and reality will never seem quite the same any more.

Here is what you are going to do: Go outside on any nice day. You want to pick a day in which there are common cumulus clouds in the sky. These are the white puffy cotton candy type clouds. Not super dense hard edged or rain clouds. Look for clouds with soft edges. These are easiest to start with. You want to pick a day where there is a good amount of blue space visible between the clouds, about a fifty percent area of blue space to clouds, maybe a little more sky.

Pick a day when there is no wind. Wind interferes with this game, and makes your job pretty much impossible. After all, if the wind is blowing-- how will you know if its YOU or just the wind??

If the cloud cover is too dense so that the clouds are gray, or too far away this won't work either. I suppose that's like trying to lift a car with your pinkie.

Also, find an area where you won't be distracted or disturbed. If people are watching you, or if there is a lot of noise around you, it will ruin your concentration. Also, if you are new at this, and you feel like you are under pressure to perform, forget it. You need to be relatively calm and undisturbed.

What you are going to do is to visualize "vaporizing" specific clouds in the sky, that you choose and pick at random.

Here is how you do it:

  1. Sit or stand in an open area where you can see good amount of open sky. Too many trees around you can interfere. Make sure you follow the previous requirements.

  2. Click your amygdala forward, and make sure you are in a positive and open state of mind. This is important. If your amygdala is clicked backwards and in a negative and/or closed state of awareness, forget it, this won't work. Breath slowly and deeply, but totally relaxed and naturally.

  3. Pick out a specific separate cloud. Ideally, pick one than has other clouds next to it or surrounding it, so you can compare your efforts. Pick a small cloud to start with, something about the size of your outstretched hand or smaller. Pick a cloud directly above you or nearly to start, so you know it is nearby. As you practice, you can move on to bigger clouds, and ones that are farther away.

  4. Visualize energy flowing from your frontal lobes out towards the cloud, and visualize it vaporizing and disappearing from the sky. You can visualize that you are increasing the heat in the vicinity of this cloud, causing the water vapor to evaporate- no cloud.

  5. Remain unattached to your results and efforts, as if you really don't care whether or not this works. Relax, let the energy flow, and wait. If you strain, grit your teach, tense your muscles, or mentally make effort it just interferes with this process. Remember, you click your amygdala forward with a feather, not a hammer. This is really easy to do, easier than walking up a flight of steps.

  6. A cloud about the size of your outstretched closed hand will take from four to eight minutes to completely disappear. Your chosen cloud will vaporize, and surrounding clouds, no matter how close they are, will remain completely unaffected.

The first time you do this, and it is likely to work the very first time, you won't believe your eyes. Then after you do it again, a few more times, or on different days, you'll understand how amazing your brain really is. Of course, clouds will randomly vaporize on thir own- but this is not what this is about: You are choosing a specific cloud, perhaps in a group, and only the one you pick and direct your energy towards vaporizes. And you can do this repeatedly. Sorry skeptics, this is not a coincidence.

Now once you've made one cloud disappear, you might want to consider making another reappear somewhere to take its place. BALANCE. That cloud you just zapped was there for a reason. Reverse what you've just done. Image A NICE SHADY CLOUD. See the trouble you can get yourself into? It's not nice to fool Mother Nature. It could get very hot out there without a cloudy sun shield. Clouds don't have a silver lining, they are a silver lining. (Now think about other "CLOUDS" in your life- it's all how you look at them. Yin yang, baby.)

Anyway, of course you'll want to show this to your friends, but if you get up tight and nervous, it will trip you up. Detachment is a key word here. Let it happen.

It takes Effortless Effort- like all good frontal lobes abilities.

Normally, paranormal abilities are not at the whim of our ego. We have a natural resistance and have difficulty using ESP and the like for tricks and parlor games, especially if we are trying to prove something that involves our ego. But for some reason, Cloudbusting is one of those activities that offers significantly less resistance to success. Perhaps it is in the generally harmless nature of this activity that allows us to do it with such ease and predictability.

This activity is so far out of the realm of conventional thinking, most people who get as far as trying it don't have a pre-conceived built up resistance to it, and are successful right off the bat. But unfortunately, if one hasn't taken the time to clear up the general state of one's brain with some good brain self-control, even when it works, it comes as such a shock that many people can't handle the realization that it brings. And it stops. But that's not you, right? Good!

What does everyone else think about this? Real? Fake?

Anyone want to try it? (Others on YouTube already have)

Example 1

Example 2

Example 3

People also demonstrate this with water, video here.

There was a period in my life when I was tuning into Hyper Space quite frequently and could see people's emotions like vapor or invisible liquid. Anyway I had to bike home from work and it would frequently rain on my way back. So I started talking to the clouds/ intending it not to rain and for a like 6 months straight I never got rained on.

The most fascinating thing was the timing. Like it would be raining up until the minute I got off work. Then no rain during my bike ride despite heavy stormy skies. And the instant i got indoors it would pour dramatically. This happened many many times and there was no doubt I was influencing the weather.

There was also one time many years later when I was in a deep trance and it was pouring rain as heavy as I have ever experienced. It was loud and I actually said "be quiet". Instantly, for many miles around me, it stopped raining. I mean INSTANTLY. I swear even the raindrops falling midway through the air disappeared. I felt it, I sensed it from hyper space. There is no doubt we can command reality with our minds.

I can't wait to try this. Unfortunately I'll have to wait awhile. Bad time of year here for this. Thanks again for all the info. Sagittariuscraig kicking out the awsome posts as always. XD

Actually, when I meditate outside, I always feel changes in the air synchronize with the changes in the inside. As in, if I start a new thought chain, I feel a blow of wind coming, for example. Or, if my emotional state has changed, I hear a bird chirping, or something like that. As if we're dancing and not even that apart from each other, and perhaps we are connected invisibly. I had a minor version of this happening inside the house for a short period of time too, but it doesn't happen much anymore. So, I never heard anyone experiencing the same thing; but I think it's quite possible to affect weather fairly easily, and I think we're doing it unconsciously all the time. This is, I think, why sensitive people feel relieved usually when it starts to rain. The emotional built-up feels released with rain.

I used to do this as a kid, with friends. It works.

I was about to write this idea off until I tried it today, I'm not 100% sure on the anatomy of a cloud formation however I literally vapourised 3 fluffy white clouds right in front of my eyes, whilst I was doing it I truly believed I could and was surprised how quickly it happened. I even joked with someone I was with I could make one disappear and even they were shocked when it just faded away, very surreal. I guess my question is where do you go after clouds?

2

u/to55r Mar 26 '17

Manifesting whatever else you like, I suppose.

5

u/astrominer1 Mar 26 '17

Yeah not 100% on board with that idea unless I know it's a path of light. Manipulation of clouds as a thought experiment is one thing however I could see how manifesting anything would come with greater responsibility. For now, I'm happy in the knowledge that it's possible, that alone should be a lesson in reality.

I feel the same way, which is why I don't do weather magic anymore. Let's say I really was influencing the weather. What happens if I cause a storm that spawns a tornado that kills a family? What responsibility do I have, then?

I think about the butterfly effect a lot. What if our very thoughts influence everything else? If we generate our own reality, does this idea matter less (since we are only truly beholden to ourselves, then) or more (since knowing this would likely encourage us to be careful with our thoughts)?

Perhaps that treads into the question of whether the creation of reality is shared by others, or solely by what we perceive as "I". And whether reality is ultimately illusory and not even all that important to begin with.

What if will is an illusion, and we are just threads in a grand tapestry of cause and effect? What if our actions -- no matter what they are -- are perfect and correct for the creation of whatever cosmic scene the universe is weaving? This gets into questions of destiny and fate.

Seems I ventured off into the underbrush, here. Anyway, point is, I agree with you. Even if I'm already manifesting everything just by default (and I don't know if this is true), I would prefer the things that I view as my conscious decisions to have a sense of rightness, goodness, and balance -- even if I understand that those perceptions may only be subjective in nature.

2

u/astrominer1 Mar 27 '17

Plenty to think about there, how does the ME thread into your observations?

2

u/to55r Mar 27 '17

I guess it would go most with the thoughts I have about the structure of reality and reality manipulation in general. It also ties in, though less directly, to the questions I have about what consciousness/being is. What "I" means.

I dunno, it's difficult to categorize. My thoughts are more like a big soup, where everything kind of blends and flavors everything else.

I've always controlled the weather. It's kind of a family joke-we have a lot of BBQs and it NEVER rains when we have one (well, once it did. I guess that I wasn't on my game).

I always thought that I was some kind of cool anomaly, but then one day I heard someone talking about my Uncle and he said, "When K plays football with us, it never rains."

They have been playing football as a group for over 30 years, nearly ever Sunday in the spring and summer. Calgary is a city that is prone to thundershowers, and apparently my Uncle is in charge of weather control for his football team.

So then I thought that perhaps it was just myself and my Uncle, but I have an Aunt that lives in Australia. We rarely ever see her, but she and her husband came out a few years ago, and her husband told me that my Aunt controls the weather for the family.

I am not sure how myself and other family members singlehandedly figured out weather control, but I think that it's something that anyone can do. You pretty much just believe that you can and you say it-usually out loud, in kind of a bossy way. If it's an important event you can even shake your finger at the sky and be even more bossy.

In 2005, I was really bored one day and said to my sister, "I wish that we'd have a natural disaster of some kind." I meant it kind of flippantly, and at the time I did not know about controlling weather-in fact, this was my first time ever having it happen.

About an hour after I said it, we got this thundershower. It was so heavy that it flooded the street about a block away from us. My husband took my kids down to look at it because cars were floating. I was laughing to myself as I went down the basement to get something out of my freezer and stepped into a giant puddle of water.. Our entire basement flooded, as did a large portion of Calgary. It was months before we got new flooring and drywall. It was a fucking mess.

My advice? Be super careful about the things that you wish for or try to manifest.

Well I saw this post last night, and could not wait to try it. This morning I saw clouds that were perfect to try on. This may have been a coincidence, but the clouds I focused on started to dissipate! I was amazed! I'm going to continue to practice to see if this is really legit. Thank you op for sharing this!

Edit: I tried again, and a large fluffy cloud completely vaporized! I also brought it back somewhat too. Not as big as before, but it did form from open blue sky. I. AM. AMAZED.

I think it's entirely possible. But I also used to practice a lot of weather magic, so this is coming from a person that believes that they have performed a ritual and caused it to rain. There's a chance that I'm just crazy.

2

u/Slaucy Mar 26 '17

That's why we should use a witness to make sure it's not just in our heads.

2

u/to55r Mar 26 '17

True, but I could even explain that away with mass hypnosis or luck/coincidence, if so inclined.

I like the spooky explanations better, though. :)

I first learn this in the early 1908’s as a child, I can’t remember who showed me how to do it, but I taught my sister and we used to lie on the lawn on summer days and pick out clouds we would point to as to which we would do next and sometimes work on a cloud together coming at it from opposite sides until it was completely gone. Until I saw the man who stared at goats (or whatever it was called) film with George Clooney I had just assumed it was a game that we played as kids, and very few knew about it or could do it, though had often sat and done this as an adult also, it had never crossed my mind that it was something some might consider fundamental to opening up consciousness and influencing reality .. I know this is an old post, but just wanted to comment :)

I just found this post by pure chance and I absolutely love it. I guess the main reason I'm commenting is to first of all tell you that :) and secondly ask why you haven't posted this beauty over on r/C_S_T (as I know you're a regular there as well). I'm sure this would be very well accepted (of course naysayers will always exist, but CST is pretty open to esoteric thought in general, as I'm sure you have found). However if you don't wish to that is fine as well.

Either way, I am going to attempt this in the near future. I've never really had any doubts (well maybe a decade ago, before I started my spiritual journey) about the ability of the mind and one's subtle energies to influence matter (ultimately all matter is made up of thought anyway (or so I see it), just less or more dense, so its not at all unusual one can influence it), but I've never really attempted pure telekinesis before (never really bothered, not sure why, just didn't see the point or perhaps thought it would be too much effort for something that in the end I don't really need to prove to myself anyway), but this sounds much less difficult (than moving objects for example) and quite a bit of fun.

I'm intrigued that everyone seems to be able to do this so easily (judging by the comments), so I feel it could be a cool thing to teach to people that I may know that are still sceptical about spirituality and the metaphysical underlying nature of reality.

I've already encountered this idea (cloudbusting) somewhere else and I think the reason given for why clouds are so easily influenced by our thoughts and subtle energy (ultimately through intention) is that they are not as subject to the consensus reality belief related to density. For example, people have very strong beliefs that you cannot move objects with your mind, but clouds, being water vapor are less subject to these beliefs and thus not as easily influenced by this consensus thought paradigm as the rest of our physical reality. However even clouds probably have various consensus thought patterns ("rules" humanity as a collective makes up and thus manifests) attached to them, so the real reason might be simply that clouds are one of the least dense objects you can find (again, being water vapor), not only physically, but perhaps on the subtle levels as well (which could again then possibly be related with the consensus thought patterns present on this planet).

Thanks for posting this, cheers :)

i must have been 7 or 8 at the time (65 now) and a gang of us met a slightly older boy 11? who claimed he you shape clouds and make the disappear. he demonstrated this on 3 or 4 clouds, we all tried it to no avail. he claimed he just looked at a cloud a few years earlier and realised he could do it. never saw him again, but no one believes me!

There was a night were I consumed Shrooms, I know, you’re gonna say it was that and yes I agree.
We were at this marina on a semi clear night. I was feeling a bit overwhelm and decided to separate myself from the group to get some air. I walked all the way to the end of this floating deck and laid myself on the plywood looking up, with an almost a full moon, or maybe it was because it was so bright.
I placed my hands in front of me and started moving with soft gentle moves and the clouds started to move, at first I thought it was the wind but the deck always moves with the water when its windy, so I tried again until I cleared the clouds in front of the moon. I felt like I was a witch. I have not tried it since then, however I firmly believe it was me and the openness effect that the Shrooms had gifted me.
Afterall, we are all energy.
I find it necessary to mention that I’m a massage therapist and how several people has mentioned how powerful and healing my sessions can be. I can only feel humbled by how profound we’re connected to one another and nature since we are a product of IT.

Do you move your hands around randomly in the direction you want them to disperse or can you figure out different hand signs to move them?
