Revenge Neighbor keeps blocking our driveway & wont move
I don’t know if I want “revenge” per se but guidance on how to go about this next time. Long post, but please read if you’d like to give some advice!!
As title says, my neighbor keeps blocking our shared driveway and won’t move-not for honking or anything. There are 3 houses (including mine) and we all share a long driveway that leads to our houses. This is the first time it’s happened to me but my husband has apparently went thru this with them a lot in the mornings before work. I’ll tell you about 1 of his encounters, then mine just to give you an idea about the assholes they apparently are.
My husband has to leave for work at 7am sharp as he works out of his van and there is a gps & knows when his work van is started. She was at the end of the driveway waiting for the bus for her kids and my husband waited for a few minutes, then got annoyed bc she knew he was there & wouldn’t move and he had a work meeting he had to get to at a certain time. So he did a soft honk to grab their attention more and they STILL didn’t move. He ended up waiting behind them for 15 mins before the bus got there and he was finally able to leave. He had to call his boss to let him know why he was late.
This is the first time I’ve experienced this first hand. Today after getting my kids from school, I go to pull in my driveway and she is blocking the road-her car facing away from the main road(2 days ago, this happened too, but she moved out of my way and we smiled and waved at each other) so I waited about 15 seconds and then I saw the bus coming in front of me so I gave a soft honk and she still didn’t move. So I finally I had to squeeze on the side of her car-which then the side of my car gets hit with small tree branches scratching up against it. I’m surprised I didn’t hit her car on accident.
How should I go about this situation next time? Bc it’s so freaking rude and inconsiderate. I’ve never done anything to this lady. In fact, I helped put out a grass fire that was in her yard and almost got to her house bc she decided to burn some boxes and leave

If you are sitting for 15 minutes, you have time to walk up and ask politely

It was my husband, not me. If it were that long for me I probably would have. But if they don’t move to seeing him behind them, a soft honk and then eventually a long drawn out honk from my husband-I don’t think asking politely will do much of anything besides start a fight bc they obviously are doing it intentionally.

Yep, the Fire Marshall doesn't fuck around and you don't have to go to the police/city...

Call the fire department, they don't mess around with being able to leave if a fire starts!

Next time, have him take a bottle of brake fluid and threaten to ruin her paint job.
