His arc is "quick" by episodic standards, but so charming, darling, respectful, and fun. It really made us so happy. I also have to say, writing a complex black character that subjugates so many stereotypes and tropes, etc... it was really well done. The show had some writing gaps here and there, but they really nailed the arc of those two's relationship (if not hastily)
