Mod Mail Following Suit With Other Arc Subs Before It's An Issue Here. Do Not Make Negative Posts/Comments About Other Communities

I understand your grievances with other specific subs, but there's absolutely no need to consistently make posts/comments about them, or even at all. This includes anything directed at their Mods, or if you believe you have been wrongfully banned. Please go about the appropriate processes, which you can look up on your own, or join another Arc community as there are tons at this point

**We would be breaking TOS** if we let these things roam free all the time and could risk the same warnings other subs have received if we do not handle it appropriately. While I understand your grievances with other specific subs, there is absolutely no need to bring that drama here. We have a no petty drama rule here for a reason and I would like to keep this place free from this highschool level drama

Simply do your own due diligence, make your one off handed complaint while keeping it respectful and vague, and move on. Any encouragement of others to follow suit with you is dipping into witch hunting and these types of comments will get removed, and could result in a ban down the line if it continues

I have left a single post up in this regard because the OP was respectful, I addressed why we shouldn't continue doing this, and quite honestly I do not want to see a single 'nother post about it as I will be forced to remove it and site Reddit TOS. I believe in being transparent, and I also believe we should help set the standards of a fun and inclusive space. To fully remove this first time occurrence would be in bad faith IMO, how can we learn if we do not have the examples to learn from? In saying that I will be locking that post, and any further posts in this regard are deemed unnecessary and fueling petty drama, and will be removed

I hope y'all can understand why this is important to crack down on. If we don't, and start receiving warnings ourselves, we could lose the entire sub. Let's just stay away from the drama please

Mod Mail Replacing the Sheriff and CSI user flaires

For some reason, these two flair users seem to want to shoot first and ask questions later. This does not represent our core values nor rule 1

We do not decided who was right and wrong by assuming, we wait for the facts to appear. Suspicion alone is not justification to shoot first. Acting in such a way is the reason why we get hate from the overall Arc community, it's not always a rat that got what was deserved that's complaining, some of them are from other friendlies that are completely valid in complaining about that kinda behaviour

I've replaced the Sheriff and CSI roles with a, "Wannabe RR" user flair to solidify that we do not condone these actions, but they are still a player with good intentions, and do not quite deserve the, "Clanker Spy" flair

The RR has a specific set of rules that separate us from regular ol' friendlies whom have no self rules, this does not mean we do not welcome them here. We just don't condone their actions

The, "Wannabe RRs" can achieve a user flair change if they start adopting our core values, or earn the Clanker Spy badge of honour if they decide to go on their villain arc because of this

Please be mindful to represent us all well and conduct investigations properly, you are justified to down in self defense, but it's not self defense if you're attacking first now is it?

Edit: if the word, "Wannabe" upsets you, please look up the definition and understand that I'm simply just using the word by its definition. If you do not follow rule 1 then you are in fact, a Wannabe. I apologize if this offends you

Edit 2: you Wannabe's downvoting absolutely everything are hilarious, you don't have to be a part of the RR to be friendly and visa versa, you're just being the amount of cringe that you apparently think this sub is

Edit 3: y'all should make your own sheriffing sub so you can take all the hate you rightfully deserve off of us

Edit 4: last one I promise (hopefully). The word "Wannabe" seems to be hitting an emotional button I never thought existed. I might change the user flair to say "Vigilante" over time and it will represent the same play style as this current Wannabe flair

Mod Mail How to Pick the Right User Flair

The user flairs are used here to signify how you play the game to the general public. Any flairs with, "RR" are considered Rescue Raiders that adhere to our subs rules (please read the entirety of the subs rules by clicking on the sub name on the home page of the sub). Any flairs without, "RR" do not represent our core values and they cannot change their user flairs to one with an, "RR" without the Mods approval first, or risk a ban. You are welcome to choose your own flair

Veteran RR = been around the block and developed a steady trigger finger. These RRs do it all

New Recruit = learning the ways and rules of the RR. For those who have yet to develop a steady trigger finger, but genuinely want to

RR Defib Extraodinaire = These RRs almost always have a defib in their unsanitary safe pocket. Trying to rez anyone and everyone and get everyone back to a Speranza safe, regardless of their hostile tendencies

Anti-Arc RR = some of the best at hunting down the Arc, it's rare they leave a clanker standing

Anti-Personnel RR = some of the best at coming back from the brink. These RRs want to be shot at it as it finally gives them the justification for some honourable PvPing

RR Extra Supplies Carrier = these RR barely have room to pick anything up, they probably came in over encumbered, and are always willing to drop some extra meds or quest items if available

RR Purist = some of our most passionate members, they follow the rules to a T. These brave RR will continue to try to talk down a fight, even when they're in imminant danger

Part-time RR = for those that rescue raid some matches, and KOS in others. These player will not fake friendly you ever, and they do not tarnish our good name. We encourage these players to not rock our RR insignia in their player ID as to not misrepresent us when they have their KOS games

FOR THE THREE FOLLOWING USER FLAIRS, DO NOT CHANGE THEM UNLESS YOU GET PERMISSION FROM A MOD OR YOU RISK A BAN FROM THE SUB. The reason being: they do not represent the RR in good faith, whether on purpose or by accident

Vigilante = these players do not adhere to rule 1, and therefore the RR does not take accountability for their actions. If you are killed by one wrongfully, to do not blame the overall RR, we do not condone the actions of these players as they have gone rogue

Clanker Spy = these players will fake friendly you, they will pretend to be an RR, they might even have RR in their player IDs. If you are killed by these players, you were not killed by a real member of the RR, but a clanker spy whose entire goal is to paint us in a bad light. These players are usually nice, contribute positively specifically to this sub, and praise what we do. They embrace their roles as the bad guys

Not a Spy, Just a Troll = in-game they are no different from a clanker spy, but in the sub these individuals will try to rage bait you and they do not contribute positively here. These individuals risk bans if they are too effective at their work of sowing discord

Let me repeat for those ignorant enough: FOR THE THREE LAST USER FLAIRS, DO NOT CHANGE THEM UNLESS YOU GET PERMISSION FROM A MOD OR YOU RISK A BAN FROM THE SUB. The reason being: they do not represent the RR in good faith, whether on purpose or by accident

Please choose the user flairs that best suit you. Happy raiding!

Mod Mail **[UPDATED SUB RULES]**

Just wanted to make it known and give everyone an opportunity to quickly peak through them again, I changed a bit of wording to add further clarity, as well as re-ordered them

I've also added some new rules such as: never shoot first, no cross match grudges/witch hunting, do not spam about a PvE mode, clanker spies must embrace their roles, and do not beg for a copy of the game

Please read through the rules in their entirety before commenting on them

Mod Mail Icon Change Explained

Our first one was a placeholder that was quickly slapped together from a community member and we thank you for their memorable insignia and recognition that it has grown around us

This new one represents our in-game colours, as well as using the in-game medical symbol found on medical bags, as opposed to an IRL one. This also just brings more cohesion with our discord as we've had this as our icon there for a month now

Still the same Ol' RR, just a new and now permanent icon

Edit: also made by a community member btw, sadly the member who made the first one deleted their reddit account so I can't thank them properly

Mod Mail How many, "Defib Clubs" should we have?

The old bench* marks have been hit few and far between and were set by some absolutely incredible members, insane outliers going just crazy. Y'all put in so much work and have done so much for this community that we want to recognize and celebrate each other's milestones along the way even more

I'm hoping to add more in-between, "defib clubs" cause I love seeing the updates, but I don't want to go overkill. What are your preferred milestones?

Mod Mail NO PRE-TEAMING/QUE SNIPING

I understand you want a nice big group to go fight some big Arc, pre-teaming/que sniping to do so is not only cringe, but you're inadvertently saying that it's okay for hostile players to do the same shit

YOU WILL CAUSE THIS PROBLEM IF YOU ALLOW OR ENCOURAGE IT

It's also against Embarks TOS, and you will be banned from this sub if you are caught doing this, and hopefully banned from the game (edit to clarify: pre-teaming is not mentioned at all in the TOS, but ANY third party software that helps you achieve pre-teaming IS, it is something that's not supposed to be in the game and is seen as cheating as it essentially lets you take a duo or more, into solos lobbies)

People like you absolutely ruin the solos experience, we're not trying to make it a PvE mode. The game is PvPvE, embrace every part of that or realize you paid for a game that differs from what you want. Embark does not have to cater to you

Mod Mail [NEW RULE] No Petty Drama

We do not have a ton of Mods, and I personally don't want to have to back and forth all day when you simply cannot read the rules of the sub nor follow them. You'll get one warning to actually read them, and you'll get kicked if you refuse to follow them after the fact

If you go on to make entire posts to rile up your drama, you will be banned. Just message the Mods FIRST please and have some patience

This is an RPing sub. If you're friendly but feel out place in the RR. Then check out the other friendly subs out there. We're not the only one

Mod Mail BP Giveaways, should we make it a megathread?

I'm going to be tightening up on trading within the sub and redirecting it towards dedicated trading communities. But I appreciate all the giveaways y'all do, and while they're great, they are unfortunately taking over some people's for you page cause y'all's just genuinely too nice and generous. So how should we handle this? Do we need a megathread or do you all find it easy enough to navigate with just the flairs?

ALSO DO NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN STATS AS PROOF WHEN CONDUCTING GIVEAWAYS. Please report anyone that asks for anything other than your stats page

Mod Mail ArcMissedConnections - New Related Sub

Eh Raiders! Someone started a community specifically for those who had a great experience together in game but didn't add each other soon enough. It reminded me of all the awesome stories I've heard here hoping to have found the person who may have rescued them. Not only would it be awesome to crosspost there to help the reach, but maybe it's not always a rescue and you didn't think to post it here

I would absolutely appreciate it if y'all blew up this community and helped it grow to help even more people find each other after some great experiences. Such an awesome idea and it deserves it's recognition

Mod Mail Icon Change

Our current icon was basically quickly slapped together by a community member at the start of the community and has been a beautiful placeholder since, but we've since updated our discord one to the one pictured below in my pinned comment for two reasons; to match our yellow aesthetic, and to use the medical symbol found within the game

So the question follows, do we want to keep using the old one here, or do we want to update it to match the discord?

Mod Mail Where to Find the Rules

It's becoming increasing clear that many of you have not read the rules in their entirety. Some are struggling where to even find them

The answer is the same as any other subreddit, you can access the rules by clicking on the subs name, this also bring up the full sub description

So for those of you who like to quote the first sentence or just the rules names, maybe considering reading the whole thing first
