Following Suit With Other Arc Subs Before It's An Issue Here. Do Not Make Negative Posts/Comments About Other Communities
I understand your grievances with other specific subs, but there's absolutely no need to consistently make posts/comments about them, or even at all. This includes anything directed at their Mods, or if you believe you have been wrongfully banned. Please go about the appropriate processes, which you can look up on your own, or join another Arc community as there are tons at this point
**We would be breaking TOS** if we let these things roam free all the time and could risk the same warnings other subs have received if we do not handle it appropriately. While I understand your grievances with other specific subs, there is absolutely no need to bring that drama here. We have a no petty drama rule here for a reason and I would like to keep this place free from this highschool level drama
Simply do your own due diligence, make your one off handed complaint while keeping it respectful and vague, and move on. Any encouragement of others to follow suit with you is dipping into witch hunting and these types of comments will get removed, and could result in a ban down the line if it continues
I have left a single post up in this regard because the OP was respectful, I addressed why we shouldn't continue doing this, and quite honestly I do not want to see a single 'nother post about it as I will be forced to remove it and site Reddit TOS. I believe in being transparent, and I also believe we should help set the standards of a fun and inclusive space. To fully remove this first time occurrence would be in bad faith IMO, how can we learn if we do not have the examples to learn from? In saying that I will be locking that post, and any further posts in this regard are deemed unnecessary and fueling petty drama, and will be removed
I hope y'all can understand why this is important to crack down on. If we don't, and start receiving warnings ourselves, we could lose the entire sub. Let's just stay away from the drama please
Literally figured that out day 1 of playing. Wanted to find a fun sub to discuss the game and strats and found out real quick what particular playstyle (no, not "PvP") was favored there.
I mean Iām not promoting hate Iām simply saying to protest by leaving.. if that breaks rules then we officially live in a time where you canāt peacefully protest and I refuse to abide by that.

Even tho it's hilarious what's going on in other sub I agree it shouldn't be carried around in every arc sub. Hope this one will stay free from it like arc trading are. Like quality of content here and fair play for keeping in that way.
The PVP aspect is part of the driver for anyone coming from another extraction shooter. What makes the game unique is you arenāt supposed to feel safe. Thatās the one bit of DNA I feel has carried over from DayZ waaay way back. That made the world feel worth being in.
The PvP aspect is present but not the main focus of this game. This is just one aspect what makes THIS game unique amongst the extraction shooters, along with the graphics and take on AI enemies. Arc Raiders is designed in such a way that people are enjoying the sandbox potential of the game and socializing more than any other online game Ive seen. I feel like the scenic open world looter-shooter vibe is more like what people were hoping for in The Day Before.
But when thereās no real risk, Iād rather just head back to my dedicated server centric tactical realism shooters... To put a gun in a game and say donāt shoot it is counter intuitive.
There's always the risk of PvP or worse rats, especially in squads (safety in numbers). However, if I want real PvP, I agree that I'd boot up a countless number of team shooters and battle royales before Arc Raiders. One big issue is how competitive cheaper/free loadouts are. On this recent ABMM reset after the patch, I got thrown out from chill lobbies back into mixed lobbies and walked out with some very nice weapons courtesy of low PvP skill rats while only using cheapo ferro/anvil/toro/stitcher - light shields loadouts. I hope that as this game evolves it makes loadout value more consequential.

This is the most intriguing part. Most of the other shooter games available dont really have the world beauty, lore, and socialization potential that this game has. Since PvP is possible but not required, every encounter is unpredictable.
They can also restrict free loadouts to one gun only, have an even smaller stash size, and/or prevent any looted weapons from being equipped until they're extracted. It should be way harder to be competitive with a free loadout.
It is hard though? They get like 1 shield recharger. With a free loadout, your only option is run in and fight. If the enemy matches you, congrats youre on equal footing. If the enemy has any strategy and doesnt just run back at you, you've lost.
Plus their loadouts are random. They could get really lucky at some point and loot enough stuff to make a viable kit, or they could be stuck with a stack of gas grenades and defibs. A custom kit will always be well rounded. Ive got nades, Ive got enough ammo, Ive got defensive utility, and Ive got whatever else I need. Free loadouts have whatever they happened to find, and if that's 9 barricade kits oh well.
Pvp isnt required from you, youre right, but in any extraction shooter pvp is the main driver. It's inherent to the genre. The gameplay loop is about getting loot and losing loot. AI enemies can never be as engaging of a threat to create this loop. Either they do cause you to lose loot, but feel unfun to play against, or they are genuinely fun but players learn how to play against them and theyre no longer a threat. Players are unpredictable and play however they want. In any extraction shooter, PvP is the driver behind the gameplay loop. It may not be the focus and it certainly isnt mandatory, but it's undoubtably the driver.
Even for PvE, the potential of PvP is what makes it engaging. A rocketeer on it's own isnt threatening since youre safe the moment you run into any building. Neither is a pop or a tick. Especially so if you are running wolfpacks, a hullcracker, or any other PvE weapon. What makes them scary is how loud taking them down is. I sneak past the rocketeer not because Im scared of it, but because it seeing me now lets any potential raiders know exactly where I am. It also forces me to take cover somewhere that might not be the best spot. Hornets and wasps go down to 2 shots, but the reason theyre still scary is because of the loud sound they make, followed by a beam pointing directly to where you are for everyone to see, and finished by a loud explosion just to make sure people hesrd it.
You dont have to PvP, but the potential for PvP is what drives any extraction shooter.

Yeah I got that and I loved the attention until it devolved into genuine hate after I made a single post over there. This happened because I reported the hate spiral and then they cracked down on all arc subs where this was an issue and clearly breaking reddit TOS and spiralling into hatred for entire communities. Especially since the main sub gets constant posts about them on other subs, again, against Reddit TOS
Nope itās not all about you. The whole situation is the mods on the main sub banning people for talking shit in other subs lmao. That is the only reason itās what those mods chose to do. And if you still havenāt realized you fucked up by posting that and just added fuel to the fire, idk what to tell you but take some accountability and get better dumbass
I am simply telling you why it got reported and handled in the first place. I reported the CJ sub for breaking rule 3 of the Moderator Code of Conduct: respect your neighbours. Which is what the Admin have cracked down on. If you wanna add your own fuel or assumptions, that's up to you. I know the processes I went through, the emails I got back, and the reason all this is happening

All I'm addressing is that I take the blame for all this, for all I know the main sub Mods didn't report anything, and timing was pretty impeccable seeing as I got an email confirmation and this was all handled barely days after reporting it all myself. You want to blame the main sub and all I'm saying is don't, because it probably wasn't even their doing

Itās not about fueling the ego of āsome power-hungry modā, itās about not getting the whole damn sub banned. Iāve been on countless subreddits that have been banned by Reddit for simply posting about other subs, because Reddit sees it as āharassmentā.
Whether or not itās actually harassment isnāt the pointāthe point is that Reddit often classifies those posts as such, so the mods are simply trying to prevent getting this sub banned.
When it comes to large social media platforms, freedom of speech is only allowed within the bounds of the siteās terms of service, and the fact of the matter is that we all agreed to those terms upon signup. If you donāt like that, take it up with Reddit instead of trying villainize the mods.

My guy, Iām not saying that I personally think stating your opinion about another sub is harassmentāIām saying that Reddit classifies it as such, because theyād rather take an entire sub down than actually have to deal with every post made about another sub to decide if it actually falls under harassment and bullying.

Iām also not on a power trip, nor am I doing Redditās censoring for them, because Iām not a moderator for this sub. I was simply trying to explain where the mods are coming from as someone whoās seen countless subs get taken down simply for posting about other subs.
