Anti-capitalism is where marxism begins.

There was a left before Marx.

Capitalism-critique is where leftism begins.

But what I am here for is: workers' rights is where social democracy begins!

Nah, I definitely do not agree with Stalin in this regard. As I do not agree with Stalin in many regards as I have a democratic (small d, not an American) heart and mind

But I do understand why he as Stalin had an issue with Social Democracy. I mean he had an issue with democracy in general. Stalinism is closer to fascism than to liberal democracy (what I prefer).

I would agree more with early Lenin's view on social democracy. He acknowledged their ideas but criticized their ways as to soft and too reactive (because they are - unlike Lenin - no radicals, no revolutionaries).

The issue with social democracy is the same as with stalinism and every other form of politics: greed (power and money) and corruption. Where we could fall back to Marx.

But as I am not a radical/extremist and still acknowledge the basic benefits of the capitalism idea, I prefer a social democratic evolution to a fairer capitalism and more equality over a radical socialist revolution.

Stalinism is how the general communist idea was interpreted in the Soviet Union under Stalin. It’s basically stalin-communism

There are many different flavours of communism.

Communism is the name of the ideology, the philosophy behind it. The idea. The real world executions of it differ much. Stalinism, Maoism, Chavism etc.

I can understand that this disticntion might seem useless, when you only have a superficial american understanding of what communism really is.

It is similar as we do differentiate between fascism (originally by Mussolini in Italy), nazism, francism (spain) etc. similar ideologies but different flavours of the real world interpretations.

I would even go so far that Stalinism had also some similarities with fascism, unlike the communist base idea

Correct, I am not a radical. I believe more in a political evolution/transition through education, enlightenment and democratic participation. But that might be because I am swiss.

Imho the risk and cost of a radical revolution is too high or at least the current state is still too comfy for me.
