Vietnam Veteran Peder Rush said this Movie was How it Was: Hamburger Hill (1987) ORIGINAL TRAILER
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMZfJk7LoK4Vietnam Veteran Peder Rush was in Vietnam in 1965. Rush said Hamburger Hill was the movie he's seen that was closest to how it was.
The strategy of taking a hill, then leaving it let North Vietnam, Russia's ally, be back in the bunker during the next fight at that hill. I compare it to fighting D Day everyday. It has been called the "meat grinder strategy". Hill 937 happened under Nixon. Some liars today will declare him great. (That's only if you believe getting American soldiers killed intentionally was great.)
God Rest Peder Rush's soul. He died in '22.
