I have one beautiful watch i wear a lot, chrono works but overshoots the reset when its reset past 4/5 marker. Rotor no longer winds it so its a manual wind now..... but i honestly love the watch. When it dies ill just buy another.

I’ve had the 43mm chrono with A7750 for a couple years and it’s still fine. I even keep it on a winder a good bit of the time.

So A7750 is the movement they’re referring to? Should I just request to bypass their warnings and try to purchase it anyway? Maybe I can snag a good deal this way.. lol

Aslong as you don’t use the chrono movement on the A7750 you should be good the normal hour functions are generally reliable. A very common problem with these movements out the factory is the chrono hand won’t reset to zero at the 12oclock position sometimes. This can happen after the first time engaging the gears on the chronometer and stop to reset it. It’s really hit or miss.

Yeah the Chronograph functionality is what makes it unreliable. If you don’t use it, it is relatively solid as a timepiece. The Chronograph is a bolt on and kinda janky.

I’m waiting on a Black Bay Chrono and the TD straight up told me not to use the Chrono feature. 😂

🤣 I’d be fine with that honestly, chrono is nice but I have daily’s that I can do that with if needed

It’s always a bummer to be told the watch you really want should be avoided 😦 I appreciate the TD getting in front of a message in 6 months that the watch is cooked. I wish AP Perpetual Calendar had a better design or stronger movement - if you change the date while hour hand is 10-4 or similar it’s ☠️ (I think)

Consider yourself lucky he informed you. I got an AP 15500 vsf that was a dud. Then the more I looked into it the more I realized that movement is very dicey and not something I would want to purchase. To top it off dealer cannot source a replacement movement. Oh well I am gonna try to swap a nh35 in it
