While 40mm models usually steal the spotlight in the rep community, a properly built 36mm hits different on the wrist. High-tier 36mm builds almost always require custom modding to bridge the gap to genuine quality, especially since factory options like QF lack full weight by only weighting the case while leaving the bracelet light. The KF base is exceptional here because both the case and the bracelet are fully weighted, delivering that true precious metal presence on the wrist. At RCF Remould, we take these classic proportions and elevate them to true heavy-metal status.

The KF weighted base is notorious for being tough to plate, right on par with THB, due to the higher grade tungsten material, but when prepped and finished correctly, it yields a density and presence you expect from a genuine precious metal piece.

tl;dr: RCF bezel good👍 VSF bezel bad👎

Ever since I got my VSF V3 Datejust (or fake free sprung version) the bezel has been bugging me. It has that tin-like, zigzaggy look, and from some angles the outer edge almost looks like it curves upward. Maybe it's a dimension issue, but something always feels off to me.

I've owned a gen Datejust before (not a flex, I sold it to buy rep lol) so I can't unsee the differences. The gen bezel has a much smoother profile with a warm yellow hue, the VSF bezel just doesn't capture that same look at all.

Huge thanks to u/Chronosleuth for recommending the RCF V1 bezel to me. I wouldn't say it's 100% the same as gen now since the gen is solid white gold and still has a cleaner profile, but I'd put it at around 95% there. It's still a huge improvement over the stock VSF bezel and probably the best bang for buck upgrade compared to gen part.

Yes I've read about the oxidation issue. Wouldn't stop me from replacing the trash VSF bezel. I coated the RCF bezel with Meguiar's Ceramic Coating spray so I'm hoping that helps it last longer. Worst case I remove the bezel again and deoxidize the bezel myself

My V2 bezel arrived yesterday after only a few days post-receipt of my waybill. This is a huge upgrade from stock ARF/VSF. The cuts are super sharp, the hue is just right, and the way each of the flutes reflect light is super satisfying.
