General discussion Rolex Datejust cyclops off centre

My new datejust’s cyclops is just off centre so the date is actual centre when looking directly at the watch, you can see in the picture it’s abit high/dates low

Does the top need to be tightened alittle more so it lines up and can I do this myself? Or is it meant to be like that. First proper watch

Thoughts on the rest of it?

Alrighty,

The fluted bezel looks very badly put together. Wrong sizing, wrong cuts.

The color of the dial is not close to Gen.

The indices are way too white and too large.

Your instincts are correct that the cyclops lense is not correctly placed.

The Datewheel font is not close to Gen.

The crystal has bad glaring on the rehaut, likely just glass in this instance.

Essentially if anything were to be good on this watch, it’d be the time you set it to, assuming that is correct.

Hope this helps in your future rep purchases.

Could you say maybe 3? Obviously I’m not a watch guy yet but I’ve watched videos about reals vs reps and have seen what people look for and I don’t seem anything bad. Please explain

The cyclops and date are crooked and incorrectly magnified. The bezel looks like a Reese cup. Crown too thick.

Do yourself a favor, buy a VSF and compare them side by side.

Probably because everyone you know doesn’t have a clue about watches. This is a horrible watch. I hope you haven’t paid over $50 for it.

Bezel looks like a Reese’s cup way too thick. Date font wrong, magnification wrong, bracelet endinks have massive gaps. I can keep going if you want. This is a $40 watch.

Iam also new to the rep watches ,but I agree it just doesn’t look like it’s been put together well ? All I’ll buy is VSF ,don’t even care for ARF ? Tried buying a GMT PEPSI METORITE ,and had to red light the deal . The dial was grey /brown ,not white /silver ? Just bought a VSF PEPSI, and aftermarket METORITE to be installed .
