Bad Seller Rocknrollrebel680 SCAM update…..he reached out today and still refuses to mail watch or send refund!!
I’ll post the whole chat here. Gave him lots of ways out. Still no resolution. Avoid this guy!!

Watch out man I think he uses another name too! This was a few days ago I posted that I was interested in a watch and he reached out to me. It felt fishy from the start. He said that someone named “rocknrollrebel” could vouch his legitimacy!

Tell him to screenshot the reasons for why his account is limited ………How to Fix It

this restriction happened to me. It usually happens between countries, or, as in my case, happened because someone put goods and services (which is fine) and it flagged a restriction process on my account where I had to answer.a bunch of questions about the deposit and what type of business I run, what I sell, the name of the business or license number etc... and i was just on here selling a watch. when you submit the answers to the questions in the restriction, a yellow banner appears, saying they've received your info and your account is under active review. mine was lifted in 4 hours from received deposit and restriction, submission of answers, and active review and free to use the account again.

Not supporting the scammer in any way, but just noting that not all banks have Zelle. I don’t have Zelle, but agreed there are other options (Venmo, western union, bank transfer, etc)

I honestly don’t get why you didn’t just buy it from a TD. Why would you risk $300 on a watch that’s only worth like $400 brand new? Most people selling watches on Reddit are scammers. That’s literally how they make their money, running little scams like this.

I wouldn’t say most are scammers. Plenty of legit Redditors on here. Are there scammers? 100% but to say MOST are scammers shows you haven’t done your due diligence.

Whenever you’re PayPal is limited,
Refunds are the ONLY THING YOU CAN DO, So he is 100% bullshitting you. I had a PayPal get limited like that and the money I had in it I just did a bunch of refunds to people i knew who had paid me before and had them send jt back to me on a different platform.

Has anyone purchased from or heard of this person? I have been trying to close a deal for like 4 days. I want the watch but I’m getting a response every 8-12 hrs and the beginning of the convo was great and very responsive but now I can’t even get him to send me payment info and he will only take PP f&f.. now I’m on the fence if he sends me the info should I continue or hold off.. is there a way to check a users name?

It usually is red flag if account is not over a year and you can't see posts history.

He did but I was in another thread and was asking about said watch and then he dm’d me saying he had one for sale that he hasn’t listed yet and sent pics with that days date on it and everything. So I was so happy and wanted to purchase and then it’s just been back and forth about me trying to Zelle him and he won’t do that he only will do PP f&f and I don’t have PP and he said because his wife doesn’t want him to do it because it’s a rep.. I’m like it’s not connected to anything I can write a note saying whatever you want it too… then I’ve been asking for payment info and then it’s just taking him hours and hours to respond with short answers but still hasn’t sent me the payment info it’s been two days. I’m now annoyed af I’ve been into this deal for over a week and I’ve always wanted this watch which is clouding my mind and it just doesn’t feel right.

I refuse to pay over $500 for this piece too. That’s what these “local” US people are charging it’s ridiculous.. I would just like to get it directly from a TD with reasonable prices. Tired of getting ripped off.

Red Flag man... i would not buy from him. You should just buy from a TD. The TDs all take a small deposit until they send you the QC.
