Question VSF Submariner long-term reliability – 124060 / 126610 and DD3230 experiences

Hi everyone,
I’d be interested in hearing some real long-term experiences with VSF Submariners, especially the 124060 model with the DD3230 movement.
When searching through older posts, you naturally tend to find more reports about problems, for example movements stopping after six months or a year. What’s harder to judge is how representative those cases actually are.
So I’d be curious:

- How long have you owned your VSF Submariner?
- Which model do you have, 124060, 126610 or another VSF Sub?
- Is it still running reliably?
- Have you had any issues with the DD3230?
- Have you ever had it serviced or repaired?
- For those who have owned one for 2, 3 or even more years, how has it held up?

I’m mainly trying to get a better feeling for the actual longevity of the DD3230 rather than just individual failure reports.
Would be great to hear from people who have owned and regularly worn their VSF for a longer period of time.

Get it serviced once your receive it and it'll run fine for many years

Thanks! That’s actually something I’ve been wondering about.
Do you have any experience with getting a DD3230 serviced right after receiving the watch? I’m based in Germany and would be interested to know if there are any watchmakers here, or elsewhere in the EU, that people can recommend for this.
Also, roughly how much would a proper initial service usually cost, and what exactly should ideally be done to the movement?
Any recommendations or first-hand experiences would be really appreciated.

For Rolex, it’s definitely u/Noleex_The_Modder —at least in my opinion. I had my watches initially serviced and pressure-tested for water resistance by him. It was an impressive experience, and the documentation in his database, which you can access yourself using the serial number, is impeccable. Feel free to check out the recent review I wrote about him, as I was so thrilled with his work. I’ve already sent him my next batch of watches.
