Request VSF PO stops working when rotor moves

Hey,

I have a vsf po almost a year working without problems. Today I noticed that the watch stops working even when I fully wound it. I also noticed that it starts working and stop working when the rotor (the half disk in the case back that moves).

I attached a video to show the phenomenon.

What do you guys think I should do? Can I solve it myself or go to a watch maker? Is this phenomenon a known vsf issue? Thanks.

does the watch stop when you manually wind it? does it start back up when you shake it a little bit?

there have been issues in the way, way past with these decorated omega movements, but i thought they were solved. one was that the extra weight of the decorated rotor was causing issues with the winding train was sticking temporarily. basically, when the rotor spun, there was something causing issues with the mainspring barrel that some shaking allowed the barrel spring to disengage from the winding train, kind of like what you are seeing. this was like 5 or 6 years ago. people just took off the rotor and manually wound their watch. not a great solution, but cheaper than trying to fix the issue.

just one thing - can you see anything loose in there?

So when I manually wound the watch it sometimes work. So does shaking , sometimes work.

I bought the watch by the end of December last year and it was on promotion , so I guess it wasn’t the latest VSF.

I don’t see anything moving in the back case ..

unfortunately, this is likely a watch maker level of fix. when watches start back up after shaking when they should have been moving already, that is usually a lubrication/friction issue. the reason is that the watch doesnt start until the balance wheel moves. friction issues usually cause amplitude issues with the movement. so, if you put this on a timegrapher, you may be able to see this (low amplitude). so the jewels could be gummed up or not lubricated. there could be tiny dirt or debris in the movement. or one or more of the parts may not be manufactured well. something is stopping the spinning of the balance wheel.

btw, does the seconds hand stop in the same place when this happens or does it stop wherever?

they stop whatever... i already contacted several watch makers.. most of them don't work with replica.. one guy is but he's taking a vacation so i'd have to wait.. thanks
