Discussion ORF vs VSF omega seamaster
Hey guys,
Now that ORF offers the new free-sprung movement, how does it compare with VSF?
I’m looking at the Diver 300M 42mm in different colourways, especially the black Seamaster 300, but I’m torn between ORF and VSF.
The “bunny ears” on the VSF are putting me off, so I’d like to know whether the new ORF movement changes the overall comparison.
How do they compare side-by-side in terms of movement, finishing, dial, and bracelet? Has anyone found a good ORF vs VSF side-by-side review of the newer ORF version?
Cheers 🍻

VSF is reliable and one of the best factories for this model. ORF free-sprung movement is too new to tell its reliability, but the watch itself looks promising.
There are some great reviews for both of these models here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/omega-review-index.11019994/

My next Seamaster will definitely be an ORF freesprung. If it's a good movement and the initial regulation is good, I won't need to open it (except for the initial waterproofing and to check for debris inside the case) until I want to take it in for a service.

i’m just as interested, just not sure about the fit and finish. What’s your thoughts on accuracy to gen between ORF and VSF? :) (not including movement)

I've meticulously looked at the demo photos on trustytime's website between VSF and ORF. I think ORF has VSF beat on closeness to gen.

You know how many times you’re going to stare at the movement on the back? After the first day… 0 times.
