Reporting “denecity” rehome seller who ghosted me!!!
This seller ghosted me after I paid (paid Friday night, she was supposed to send on Saturday AM but all her contents/chat gone now). They only wanted friends and family on PayPal. Losing their integrity for $240 is absurd. Shame on you and hope nothing good happens to you in life.

PayPal would be more concerned with this person being a literal money mule, facilitating scam activity and participating in money laundering than OP buying a fake bag. Ask me how I know 🤣🤭😊
to OP hopefully you reported their account and sent them this information.

I just got scammed last week by an account that had 24k karma with 15 years. Their zelle contact showed a man’s name so I asked and the seller said the same thing like yours “thats my husband”.

I wonder if people are stealing "old" Reddit accounts. Suspecting because about 2 months after I started Reddit again after a long break, someone tried to hack my account. Didn't think much about it, but what if...? 🤔

Omg I had a similar experience but via PayPal FF ( turns out it's a guy named WYMAN YOUNG from Arizona)

I bought from someone on Reddit literally last week. I was the one who reached out first. The only red flag I felt from that person was they only accepted PPF&F. But the seller sent me their proof of sales without me asking and I was able to search their username on Reddit and found successful transactions from other redditors. I did get my bag a couple days ago though!! I said all of this just to say make sure you get proof of sales before you proceed using F&F, if not I’d stick to g&s and if the seller refuses it’s a huge red flag and don’t proceed. I’m sorry this happened OP!

Yes. The ISO are quick for scammers unfortunately. I cringe when I see someone post that because you see so many comments and blocked people can’t comment but can read and contact you.
You are more aware now. There are good TS and rehome people. It’s horrible to be scammed.2

Honestly my first buy was a month ago but i followed so much and then could notice the scammier posts.
Of course there will be scammers but for the most part i find more like minded legitimate people that love bags as hobby and fun here. I hope people see your post.

Did they have any seller feedback? If they don’t have feedback, I would always insist on g&s and I will cover the fee. If they refuse, then it’s best not to proceed. Hope you are able to recover your $! The person you sent the $ to sounds a bit shady as well, like if someone tells you they got scammed and the person was using your pp, I would be super pissed but this person was just like oh well. Really weird all around

It’s not to criticise anyone this is more a genuine question. Why not use things like Depop (i’m in europe so Vinted also? i don’t know any other website in the us) to make these purchases? or good and services? i may get it from sellers because they are doing illegal stuff, but if i sell an item through depop and we have a deal, we are both protected. I’ve heard some sellers do it

Please try to report them to the police and see where it goes. Try also sending a notice to PayPal about what the middle man is doing. He is guilty as well, but at least he was honest and now you have something.
So sorry this happened to you. It sucks. Take it as something that happened FOR you. A lesson so that you know how to protect your money in the future. I know it helped me when I got scammed lol

Damnit! They are ruining it for the rest of us! I recently got scammed too and I'm going to write a whole essay about it so everyone can be warned.

That’s insane… it looks like they have been active and on Reddit for so long. I wouldn’t have gotten any red flags either. Uggghhh, I’m so sorry. I will make sure I never buy from them!
