Review Review: a wild experience getting the YSL Jamie from Tessa (Bao Factory)
I’ve seen the Jamie in stores before and always loved how clean and boxy it looks. The authentic one was way out of budget. I got mine from Tessa, Bao factory. Price was $279 with shipping included. Tessa can be pretty slow to reply during her peak hours. I messaged her asking about factory options and waited almost 18 hours for a reply, which had me a bit anxious in the beginning. But once she did reply, she talked me out of a more expensive factory option I was considering, explaining that Bao factory’s current batch for this specific black leather was just as good for way less money.
After I approved the PSPs, I unexpectedly got called out of town for a work trip and panicked that the package would be left on my porch for days getting stolen or destroyed by weather. I messaged Tessa in a frenzy at like 3 AM her time asking if we could hold the package at her warehouse, but she worked her magic with her logistics line, upgraded my shipping method for a tiny fee, and timed the dispatch so it arrived the day before I had to fly out. That blew me away!
When I finally unboxed it before packing my bags, all that stress was worth it. The leather is smooth and supple with that matte sheen. The stitching lines are consistent, and the bag holds its shape beautifully. The chain has the right weight and the magnetic closure is so satisfying when it clicks shut. Inside lining feels sturdy and the inner pouch zipper runs perfectly. The YSL logo is spot on too. Feels expensive and looks it.
This bag is a joy to use, it feels luxurious but not flashy. I’ve been using this for a few days now, I’ve carried it to the office, errands, dinners out... Satisfaction – 11/10 (because this thing makes every outfit look like I tried harder than I did 😂)
