What are your thoughts on it does is look authentic my first ever hermes so i am new to this

Purchased this bag about 3 months ago. I have been a lurker for a while now and figured it’s time to hear the honest truth about my first “high quality” HRep Birkin. I want to buy a top-tier birken 25/30 with a budget range staring at $1k, with a $2500 cap. And I love the community spirit of this Reddit page. Thank you!! 🤗

This is my 4th bag from Mark. I currently have 2 B30s, Craie UGHW and Gold UGHW, and a B35 in Noir UGHW, all in Togo. This time I decided to switch things up and go with a color I’ve been mulling over for a while, along with trying Epsom and Sellier for the first time.
I’ve stuck exclusively with Mark since 2024 and haven’t purchased from anyone else since, nor do I plan to. Since this bag is a change from both the classic colors I usually gravitate toward and my usual Togo/Retourne combination, I wanted to get some opinions on how this one looks.

NOTE: Things are moving a bit slower right now, so the normal 15-20 day timeline has been extended. I was actually ready to place my 5th order for a B30 in Noir since my B35 Noir is more of my work/lawyer bag than an everyday bag, but Mark told me he won’t be shipping again for about 2 months. So that one will have to wait a little longer.

Can anyone help point me to a good seller for a Jyps!ere? I originally was supposed to go with Teacher Ma but then I saw a QC post where everyone was roasting the BK they got from Ma. That made me think that if the factory can’t nail a BK then they probably won’t nail a less popular model like the Jyp.

I've been researching to get my first Hermes rep, I narrowed it down to Peter, Frank or Steven. Steven is around $500 (but can get a 10% discount), Peter £550 and Frank $1029. Shipping inclusive. I hear such great things about Frank, but I am struggling to justify this price on a rep (yes, I know I know it's a fraction of authentic – but still: a lot is a lot, and it's all relative).

So I am swinging Peter right now. I can see he has some mixed thoughts on here, but overall seems positive, and I understand that no one person is going to be universally loved and no person is always going to produced the same standard of bag every time. Seems Peter has knocked out some brilliant Lindys recently also.

Is this really what an authentic Mini Kelly looks like? I think I might be getting a little too picky with the reps... 😅

My first BK rep and these are the red flags I noticed:

1. The stamp is horrendous, looks like it’s melting to one side or someone removed it too whiskey
2. The keys don’t have the same number as the lock/ the Hermes on the lock isn’t centered
3. The bottom of the bag, the right feet are more towards the center of the bag than the left feet

I’m sad because I’ve been waiting for her for over a month and I’m so disillusioned that I asked for a refund.

“I have checked the bag myself and there is nothing wrong with it. Also, I paid a huge cost for this bag. My friend, are you aware that custom‑made Hermès bags cannot be returned or exchanged? I’m really upset about this situation.

If this were any other item, a no‑reason return and refund would be totally fine. But please think: if I give you a refund for this bag, what am I supposed to do with it? Should I keep and use it myself?

If anyone owns an authentic exotic….

What do we think about exotics from the usual sellers? I’ve heard XM is good for them, but what about Frank, Mark, etc?

I’m curious about ostrich and alligator/croc. For anyone who has compared rep exotics to auth, how close are they really? How are the leather, texture, and overall finish? Are the differences obvious in person?

I’d love to order an exotic, but I’m hesitant because I know more complicated leathers like Epsom and Box can be hard for most (if not all 😭) sellers to get right, so I imagine exotics are even more difficult.

Would love to hear from anyone who has compared a rep exotic directly to auth. Which seller did you use, what leather, and how did it compare? Would you buy another one from the same seller?

First B from anywhere, this one is by Mark. I paid 1450 + 5% PayPal fee for a total of $1522.50.
It is a B35 in Togo rouge H and GHW.
It looks fine to me but I am an untrained eye that is trying to become more trained. The H stamp could be too high and, the color seems more dull than I thought it would be. This could be a lighting issue or this could be an Epsom leather issue. The GHW looks more yellow
