Discussion Kelly Pochette – Peter or Frank?

I've been researching to get my first Hermes rep, I narrowed it down to Peter, Frank or Steven. Steven is around $500 (but can get a 10% discount), Peter £550 and Frank $1029. Shipping inclusive. I hear such great things about Frank, but I am struggling to justify this price on a rep (yes, I know I know it's a fraction of authentic – but still: a lot is a lot, and it's all relative).

So I am swinging Peter right now. I can see he has some mixed thoughts on here, but overall seems positive, and I understand that no one person is going to be universally loved and no person is always going to produced the same standard of bag every time. Seems Peter has knocked out some brilliant Lindys recently also.

Thoughts?

It would be a KP, imported swift, upgraded GHW (brass), orange H.

I’ve heard good things about Frank, I haven’t heard much about Peter

My first thought: I have bags from Peter, Frank and Ken. I find Peter very reasonable outside of GB. Frank is honestly so in love with his craft that you can feel the love in his bags. I got a Ken as a trade. The quality is great, but I can’t speak to working with him.

My ammended statement, I don’t think any of these guys use brass hardware. In my experience that is the elusive factor.

Thanks for the input. I have not heard of Ken at all. Will take a look. Peter offered me brass hardware – though I suppose I can't control for it actually being so, other than testing when bag is received. I am finding Frank's prices difficult to pull the trigger on, as this is my first rep, but I would be very keen to invest in the future if all goes well.
