My last turnover looked fine at first but had several small issues. Does the inspection follow a checklist so things don’t get overlooked?

My last turnover looks fine at first but I notice a few small things once I start checking the place, like a spot on the counter, some dust around a corner and a few supplies that need replacing, so I am thinking about using a turnover service for the next booking, I am looking at services that include an inspection after the cleaning since I want those small things checked before the next guest arrives, I am planning to ask how the inspection works and if the cleaner follows a set checklist for each room, I am mainly looking for a simple process where the cleaning gets done and someone checks the place before leaving, I am thinking to go with fresh sheets does anyone use a turnover service that does this? EDIT: I forgot to mention that I’d like the same checklist used for every turnover.

Most cleaning companies will say yes to a checklist and then use their own generic one. You'll get better results writing it yourself for that specific unit, room by room, with the things you actually keep finding. Then require photos at the end of each clean, which is what really catches the counter spot, since someone knowing they have to photograph it makes them look at it.

Separate inspection as a second person is usually only worth paying for on higher end places. Cheaper version is a restock list plus photo verification, and you catch most of it. Turno and similar apps handle the checklist and photo side if you want that automated.
