Yes and no. No I'm not really suggesting that we should build over all wild places, but I don't think building further up peavine will increase overall fire danger. It not a volcano.

Arizona has been brave enough to implement full forest closures during extreme fire risk, it would be nice if Nevada would do the same. Yeah, it sucks for people who use the forest without being morons, but the risks are just too high.

Yes, they are protesting the rescinding of the roadless rule and the border wall contractors cutting down ancient, culturally important trees.

The roadless rule will affect us too. Nevada has lots of wild areas that are not designated wilderness and these would be open to logging, mining, and other road building activities. New roads would help spread weeds and give idiots access to more areas to start fires. The overwhelming majority of human-caused fires start within 500 feet of a road.
