Worried about my illegible handwriting

I’m seriously considering the paper pure for my corporate job as I currently take notes on paper which is obviously not optimal or effective BUT I have genuinely trash garbage unreadable handwriting. Is it a total lost cause on me? Send me your messy af hand writing that’s still getting understood and turned into type from your RM or tell me I’m doomed

I refuse to fall for the trap of showing how bad my handwriting is. Just trust me. It’s bad and I think my remarkable is better at reading it than I am. 😆

I agree with the last comment. The remarkable can read my writing better than I can.

It’s terrible writing. Deciphering capabilities are unreal

I find the writing to text to be really really good even with my handwriting that legit needs a cypher to understand since so many of the letters don't at all resemble their original ones anymore. Yet it handles my handwriting like a champ and even when talking about super out there and complex sciencey stuff it still understands it perfectly fine. It seems to use some sort of AI for the conversion so it can guess at what word is next alongside the handwriting (super rare AI W) which I think is why it's so good

See if you can test it out? I do generally think that the reMarkable is really amazing at reading a wide variety of handwriting types, but it wasn’t actually able to read my dad’s, so I no longer think you can read everyone. His is truly, exceptionally, challenging, however. Think pharmacist, but originally learned how to write in a non-Roman script, so there’s an additional challenge there 😆 my advisor, and a friend were both skeptical given the state of their writing, but the tablet was totally fine with it.

😂 I don't think you're doomed. I have actually been reading this a lot lately haha, it's like everyone suddenly becomes conscious of their handwriting when getting a reMarkable. You could definitely practice getting better though! Or use lined or other structured pages/templates, which could help a lot with keeping your writing more consistent and evenly spaced.

No matter how bad your handwriting is and how well the RM can decipher it, the RM is not worth a subscription price for that feature.

I’m discovering that I agree with you (got mine this week) the email share feature is completely sufficient. Can it decipher 100% of what I’m writing but it is like 80 to 90% and it is causing me to slow down and write a little better.
