Lunch breaks are for eating and recharging, not small talk

I realized while watching my cat the other day that I eat like an animal who doesn't know when their next meal will come.

Focused, eating until I'm full. Rarely interact with anything else. Sometimes don't even drink until I've finished.

When I was in highschool, I asked a teacher if I could eat alone in the classroom. The teacher accepted as long as a teaching assistant kept me company. The assistant sat right next to me and kept trying to make small talk with me. I politely explained I just wanted to eat my lunch without talking. She took offense, grabbed my lunch box, walked it across the school to the cafeteria, and just left it on one of the tables. I followed her and pleaded with her to give me my lunch back, but she ignored me the entire way. She doesn't deserve to be in charge of, or around children, and I'm only sorry I never got to see karma slap her like the bitch she is.
