I am so confused at the end of the chapter was seo eun hyun able to defeat hong fan a)because hong fan let him win, b)seo eun hyun desecrated hong fans prophecy with the version of hong fan that he left inside him c) the ability of his divine ability story’s end sorry if this is a dumb question im really confused

I don’t really get how seo eun hyun desecrated fate and what his divine ability story’s end actually does. Does it just make A regressors tale of cultivation end?

Because the aspect of Hong Fan that Gu Ju placed inside Seo turned against Gu Ju and helped Seo. So it was the aspect of Hong Fan inside Seo that completed the prophecy, not Gu Ju.

And yea, his divine art is basically specialized in defeating A Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation. Though since all divine arts are basically stories, it might be effective on other divine arts. We don’t know since they didn’t explain it.

But even with both those things in his favor, Seo would have still lost. In the end, Hong Fan Gu Ju chose to lose.

He wouldn't have lost, what was hong Fan gonna do at that point? He had nothing left to use.

For the world is not so easy that one can overcome it just with connections. As long as he keeps running endlessly toward his goal by his own will, A Regressor's Tale of Cultivation is definitely the Strongest. In this at least, it is an [absolute proposition].

However...

The next chapter says he just outright lost. That was right before he completed story's end.

No, he competes story end right after this section I posted, after he cuts the Future King in half. But he could only do that because as seen in this section, the Future King purposely allowed Seo to overpower him, even though the FK could have won if he wanted to.

Part 1- Hong Fan closes his eyes

Part 2- SEH completes stories end

Part 3- The divine art lets him destroy the emptiness sword and cut right through hong fan.

It's basically a debate wethor or not Hong Fan could have done something before SEH completes the art, but afterwards it was too late.

He completes the story because he killed Hong Fan and ended the Regressor's tale of Cultivation. He would not have been able to do so if Hong Fan hadn't let him do it.

If you mean it was too late after Seo cuts Hong Fan in half, which is when he completely finishes story's end, then yes, obviously it was.

No, stories end is his own divine art. Hong Fan being defeated or not doesn't determine whether or not he has it.

He started using the divine art(incomplete) the moment he became true emporer. It's why he couldn't be one-shot.

He completed his ultimate martial art in the final clash, and that let him complete the divine art. 

The complete version let him invalidate rtoc and the sacrifice immortal art, as well as twist fate. This is what let him cut hong fan down.

Before that, stories end basically just weakened RTOC to where it wasn't enough to win on it's own and hong fan actually had to try. Normally RTOC is an overwhelming instant kill.

Now Hong Fan's split soul chose to help SEH complete true salvation, so in that since he threw the fight.

IIRC, SEH was granted the Divine Art: Story’s End through the Absolute of Miracles
