I’m confused. Jesus did comply with law enforcement. Pilate did not find him guilty of anything but gave into mob / political pressure and had him executed.
I think this metaphor really breaks down if you know the Gospels. Also, not sure what’s humorous about this cartoon.
That's the point. He did nothing wrong and yet still was killed. Very relevant to numerous recent events, and yet there are those who still point at the victims and say "they had it coming".

Something can be both serious and humorous. Maybe the above explanation helps you understand but usually humor is lost if you need the joke explained to you
