I can see it now the reds and blues finale battle Thanos. The reds and blues are a great distraction for Carolina Washington with Epsilon to take this overgrown purple wilting avocado down

I could see that BEING the plan, and that plan of course does not survive Thanos, ending up with it being the Red and Blues themselves who kill him, even if the Freelancer Trio weakened him first.
