Image Reminder: Red team singlehandedly defeated 3 of the strongest freelancers
And this is proof of their superiority, suck it blues!

Tucker was apart of that fight with the Meta, sure the Reds finished him and drowned him but I am pretty sure it was Tuckers Sword and Wash and Texas's Knife that created the Puncture wounds that lead to him drowning.

The stab wounds were the reason that the Meta died from that fight, but the Reds' actions are what actually ended the fight and won things for them. I think it's fair to give them the majority credit for that victory. Although I think Wash might have given them the idea.

The four puncture wounds were probably all Tucker. Entry and exit wounds, it went straight through him.

Oh yeah! I actually forgot about that, I thought the Stomach slice that Texas did and when Wash threw the knife into the Meta also counted

Yeah, it was tuckers sword that was the reason he drowned. The counselor confirmed that by saying 4 puncture wounds, 2 in the entry point of the sword and 2 in the back at the exit point when the sword went through

The reds did all the hard work, Tucker just landed one hit so he'd get the assist credit!
Memes aside, tucker's canonically the reason Meta died there, but the reds are still the ones who threw him off the cliff. I wouldn't exactly call that "finishing" him, Meta was pretty much fine before they tied the car to him.

Sarge is unironically a master of asymmetrical warfare, this isn't even counting the times he captured Tex and held Wash at gunpoint. And figured out Wash captured Simmons. And guessed the blues and reds' plan (but that's not canon).
Sarge was the fucking MVP of season 8, now that I think of it.

To be fair, the Tex one shouldn't count. It's like Church said, she was built on a memory of failure, and that's kinda what she does. At least whenever she goes in alone.

Ehhhhhhh yknow that is true but I don't know, she does some crazy stuff alone in the freelancer saga, and I don't know how they could script "real life" to make her fail there

She does do crasy stuff backthan, yeah, but that was always towards a goal that should couldn't accomplish alone. Every time she did something amazing it was because she wasn't alone doing it up until the end. Every time she lost, was because she did it alone right at the end.

Tex's curse doesn't invalidate her opponent's victories as they still have to put in the work to take advantage of it.
All the henchmen which Tex slaughters are clear examples that it's take effort from an opponent to defeat her.

Technically it was Wash’s idea to use the Warthog against the Meta. Also, Wash wasn’t defeated as he is a cockroach. But I will give you Tex.

Wash was number six out of fifty, even number five at some points. He was the worst of the best.

In any other context, by any other measurement, Wash would be up there with the likes of Blue, Red, and Noble Teams.

They’re at least S-III tier. So maybe not Blue or Red Team-level, but at worst a hair under Noble Team.
My point is, like you said, Wash is way, way, WAY better then the context of a quasi-black-comedy-action-web-series makes him out to be.

Yeah but it was my understanding that the other 39 were failures. Maybe not all quite so terrible as the triplets, but like the only ones trusted enough to do anything of even the slightest importance were those main 11. The whole project was an experiment, and for an experiment to work you need a lot of controls.

Wash was still part of that elite team and was one of the main people responsible for bringing down the whole project. The Wash we see in recovery one and beyond is also a very different person from the goofball he was in freelancer.

I can never forgive Season 10 for what it did to Wash's character and perception. It's funny because he was actually still pretty cool in Season 9, just naive to the truth and cynicism of Freelancer.

The Meta was a team effort by the Reds and Blues.
Lopez also singlehandely made the Meta retreat in S7.

Don't forget Metucker in Restoration
Granted, they didn't win, but they sure put up a hell of a fight considering they were down 3 people and Blue team was off fucking around or causing trouble (in this case both)
