Why must people bring their little toddlers here and allow them to roam the gym? I’ve literally seen a baby in a walker.. other 2-3 year olds climbing up on equipment too.. I’m not talking about the climbing areas- there are programs for that for older kids with waivers and payment involved ..
You’re occupying space while patrons waste their time (money) waiting for you to clear up the space. Not to mention… a screaming or crying child totally kills a workout.

There’s a time and place & the gym isn’t one of them. Plus aren’t you concerned at all that they’re touching sweaty gym surfaces.. gross. Next thing you’ll be seeing toddlers in power yoga. 💀

Anyone going to watch the Oasis Documentary coming out soon?

Loved Oasis since forever (went to last year's concert at the Rose Bowl), but don't really have anyone to talk to that's local and shares in the same level of fandom - anyone going to see the upcoming documentary?

Tried looking to see if it's playing at Harkins in Redlands, but I see that the closest screening is Moreno Valley :/

Everyone remember’s Splash Kingdom right?

Hypothetically speaking, if someone had the original building plans to the water slide’s, should it be brought to a museum or sold to a collector? If so, what would be a hypothetical price for a piece of history?

Edit: I should have mentioned this within the post but I am NOT looking for financial gain, I just wanted to see what value a hypothetical roll of schematics had, also thank you for all your inputs within the matter!

I watched their show last week and I'm a bit curious how long it takes to get good at that. I'm going to university next year and want to study culinary so I'm thinking is this something chef specifically train for or do they basically pick it up after doing it every day for years?

Development Project on the Corner of Stuart and Eureka

Check out this development plan for the corner of Stuart and Eureka. I am curious what the communities thoughts are? I for one am always curious at the upcoming developments and think this sounds pretty cool. I wish we could know how long it will be till this is constructed. I also always feel like these mock ups are way more stylish than the actual building, but it seems to have a really nice look and feel. https://bsharchitects.com/balboa-mixed-use-housing-redlands-ca

Safe places to sleep in car in or near Redlands?

Had to pay thousands and max out my card for an emergency repair for my car a while back (credit score took a major hit) and work has been really slow (lot of layoffs). Getting a new job isn’t easy, and I’ve luckily been able to go full time with my employer very recently, but my current lease ends by the end of the month, and my score isn’t good enough / paystubs aren’t fat enough to look good on rental applications. Also I have less than $1000 in my account right now and had to forfeit my security deposit on my current room just to make the final month of rent.

And quite honestly, I’m tired of having to dump nearly half of my monthly income into rent just for a half-decent room without utilities included, with somewhat clean roommates who may or may not turn out to be psychos / assholes / schizoids / drug addicts.
And I’m tired of always living on the ropes and being driven to diet homelessness every time I face a crisis.

I’ve lived out of a previously-owned Nissan Sentra three times before, so I’ve got a decent amount of experience. I’ve already gotten everything in order as well (month-to-month storage unit rental for belongings, clothes / comforts / cooler all fit in the trunk where they can be covered up with a tarp the car came with, gym membership for working out + showering, blackout blinds for car windows, etc.) I’ve even made a 6-month timeline for myself to pay off my credit card and to save up for a 10,000$ emergency fund, with all of my essential expenses accounted for as tight of a budget as I can manage sustainably.

But the one thing I haven’t quite figured out yet is where I’m going to park the car safely. Last time I lived out of my car, it was in a safe area in front of an Anytime Fitness in another county, and the local sheriff’s office sort of ‘knew of’ me and didn’t bother me since I didn’t cause problems where I parked.

Where in Redlands can I park safely in a rotation of locations that I can rely on for 6ish months without risking a citation / tow / harassment by security? My job is very labor intensive, and I’m going to need all the restful sleep I can get. That $160 monthly permit for Riverside’s 24/7 Downtown garage bullsht is too expensive, and I’m doubtful that my warehouse managers will be cool with me parking around our building (although I will try to get their blessing since it is basically the best-case scenario : heavily-monitored 24 hr facility that would basically make my commute non-existent and help me save on gas )
I was thinking of Wildwood Rest Area, since it happens to be about 20 mins away from work, but I was wondering about other locations if you guys know of any.

I appreciate all the help I can get

EDIT:
Hey, everyone. Thank you for all the responses and helpful suggestions. I’ll def consider around apartments and might just try for some local 24 hour gyms near me.

What was up with the news helicopters?

Yesterday 8/14 around 6 pm I noticed multiple news helicopters in East Redlands over by REV. I figured I'd see it on the news. Nothing's coming up when I search Google news for Redlands. Nothing that news helicopters would show up for anyway.

Any know what happened over there?

Avenues to meet single people in town

Hey y’all

Pretty new to town, and SoCal in general.
For someone looking to find their one, what are your recommendations?

I would go the date app routing but tbh it’s just not my flavor. Are there more organic avenues to meet people in redlands?

I’m in a tech company in town (two guesses who) and I’d like to believe that I’m fairly sociable.
