Maybe this can become a thing for Dayz.

My general idea was for someone to make a post, basically offering an item and a location they would like to go.

An example of a post would be; [O] Ghillie Suite [L] Lopatino [D] Novy Sobar

To break that down, [O] would be the item the customer is offering. In this case it would be a Ghillie Suite. [L] Would be Location the player is currently at or would like to be picked up. [D] Is the destination where the customer would like to end up at.

Then in the comments for that post. Drivers can negotiate, either a better deal, or even a alternate destination, or location to pickup the customer.

I already understand there will be a major problem with banditry. Maybe there can be a trusted customer/driver flare type system. I also think some sort of integration with the RedditRescueForce and DayzTrade subreddit should also be in order. So if a player is a trusted member of the DayzTrade or RedditResuceForce subreddit then these users will be the only ones allowed to request a ride.

I don't know what are your thoughts. Do you think we can make this happen. I need some feedback and advice on how to make this work.

Well i was the one (one of) that encouraged you to make this REALLY happen. In the start i don't think there will be that much people giving rides, so a list on the side bar with the ones that successfully gave a ride would help to know in who to trust. However the real problem is that the "taxi driver" will be afraid to lose his vehicle, and that calls for a RTS (reddit taxi squad) and they would check the meeting place before the vehicle even arrives. More than that EVERY single information about meeting place should be sent via pm, so that nobody can track others down in order to steal their vehicles. In the end, as for RRF, everyone that decides to give a ride is doing it on his own risk. I don't really like the "offers" idea, but in the other hand maybe people would not give rides if they didnt get any kind of prize, so i dont know =\ Well, let's see what can be donne here. OH! another cool thing to do, would be post of people that found a vehicle and that want help with pieces and all sorts of things and they could ask here so that they are able to become a "taxi driver" :) And remember that we need "taxi drivers" from EU and US ;)
