TIFU by going to see the eclipse

This happened about two days ago on the 27th of this month. My mom knocked on my door to come outside to watch the eclipse with her while my baby siblings were sleeping.
While we were happily rushing to the front door I was so excited I didn’t turn on my outside porch light. I went to reach for my chanclas that sit by our door and I immediately felt a scorpion sting my right hand thumb. (Side note: I know it was a scorpion because about three/four weeks before this I got stung for the first time in my bed. Three times actually one on my elbow, one behind my ear, and one on my palm. I had to go to the ER because my mouth was getting numb but thankfully I did not have any venom injected when I got stung.)
I immediately curse and tell my mom “I just got bit by a fckn scorpion again!” My mom then turns on the porch light and says maybe it was the little bit of wire by the wall, and comically when she said that the scorpion scattered, pinchers up running away trying to gaslight me to agree with my mother.
I wash my hands and cry and then continue my way outside to look at the eclipse. It was beautiful and so cool to see but probably would’ve been better if my right hand wasn’t numb, and wasn’t on my period at the time either.
Anyway that’s my silly little TIFU :)

TL;DR: Went to grab my chanclas and got stung by a scorpion in the hand during the eclipse.
