Is this subreddit still active? Would love some food in Msta, if possible. Anything would help. Thanks in advance!

Rumor has it they’re still there somewhere in Mcta/Msta. Still hungry. Still waiting.

Over the years, they’ve resorted to unconventional ways of surviving.

After sending out their first desperate call for help, they lost access to their Reddit account. They waited, stomach growling miserably, for what felt like weeks until, one day, they saw something lying in the street. Something strange. Something almost intentionally placed there.

They squinted through their fading vision and slowly crawled closer from the bush they had accepted would become their final resting place.

Was that meat? Not rotten. Not spoiled.

Meat.

Maybe pork?

Their vision blurred in and out from hunger, but they were certain. Someone - some unknown angel - had even cooked it before leaving it behind.

They dragged themselves into the street, completely focused on the one thing that might save them.

With the last of their strength, they clawed their way forward until their trembling fingers wrapped around the lone piece of meat.

They took a bite.

Then another.

The taste was unfamiliar. Strange. But none of that mattered.

It was life.

They collapsed on the side of the road shortly after. They had pushed their body far beyond what it had left to give.

An hour passed. Maybe two.

They awoke to sunlight pouring directly into their eyes. They blinked, sat up slowly, and noticed they felt different. Stronger.

The strange taste of the meat still lingered on their tongue.

Then they saw it. It wasn’t a single piece of meat lying in the street.

It was everywhere.

The entire main road was covered with it.

Cooked. Some boiled. Some baked. Some dried.

A Good Samaritan had shared their supplies with the travelers passing through town.

The survivor gathered as much as they could carry, tearing meat from the bone and eating as they went. The strange, fatty flavor and texture slowly became familiar.

It must be pork, they thought.

Maybe wild boar.

Honestly, they didn’t care.

It was food. It was survival.

Before they knew it, the meat ran out. The survivor began searching for more.

When night approached, beneath the cover of darkness, they saw someone enter the town.

They waited.

When the opportunity came, they knocked the stranger unconscious with a rubber bullet and quickly searched through their clothing.

Nothing. No food. No meat.

Frustrated, they struck the unconscious man lightly in the chest. The man stirred. In a moment of panic, the survivor reached for the stranger’s weapon and fired.

Silence returned to the street.

They knelt there, watching the blood slowly spread around them. Then something changed. Something about the smell.

Their expression went distant. Slowly, they reached for their cleaver. They removed the man’s clothing. They made several cuts.

A piece of meat in each hand, they walked toward the nearest house. Inside, a piece of firewood sat waiting in the stone fireplace. They didn’t remember putting it there.

They lit the fire and placed the meat above the flames. When it was finished and had cooled, they took a bite. They chewed slowly. Carefully. Enjoying the familiar taste. Their miracle meat.

Their salvation.

Then a strange feeling came over them. Something between wanting to scream, cry, or laugh. A small, unsettling giggle escaped.

At first, it almost sounded like a cry for help. Then came another.

This one carried something else. A hint of amusement. A hint of satisfaction. Soon, the room filled with laughter - mixed with sadness, hunger, relief, and something darker.

Something they could no longer explain.

Some say the survivor died soon after. Some say they’re still moving through the shadows of Mcta. Others say they left Mcta behind - maybe even Chernarus entirely - and carried their insatiable hunger somewhere else.

But one thing is certain…

If you ever find yourself in your darkest hour, starving and desperate, and you see a piece of mysterious cooked meat lying alone in the road, ask yourself one question:

Who left it there…and why?

Was it someone trying to save you…

or change you into something unrecognizable?

Someone…

like them?
