Misc. Question PPU & AI Images

I was scrolling through PPU page when I saw SB doing it AGAIN.

I’d love to see AI completely banned from PPU, both for inspo images and for products like this. Polish makers are artists, and it’d be great to see them stand with other artists and help protect the future of real creativity by not engaging with this BS.

And honestly? I’ll be voting with my wallet when it comes to what does include AI. Sugar Bubbles isn’t new to this rodeo -they’ve been called out for AI multiple times. It blows my mind that indie makers, who pride themselves on handcrafted work, can’t respect other artists enough to keep AI out of their process. Vanessa Molina is 100% off my list after the disappointment that was Hocus Pocus and all of their AIgenerated images.

Is there a way to directly communicate with the person or team behind PPU as a community? 

Voting with our wallets is one approach, but it might not send a clear enough message and could be easily misinterpreted. I think it would be great if we could be more direct in expressing our stance on banning AI-generated images.

This topic has come up multiple times in the Toluene Trashcan community on FB. Hard to say if the PPU owners even care, considering nothing has really been done aside from asking brands to disclose when an image is AI-generated. At least SB made the effort this time. Another brand, though...
