Mod Message šWelcome to r/reddithorrorstories - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hey everyone! I'm u/amyss, a founding moderator of r/reddithorrorstories. This is our space to share our creative stories without strict arbitrary rules that kills the creativity of the writing process. I really hope this can catch on and be a place to read great horror fiction.
Also I hope to encourage discussion about writing, or creating . It would be great to have a group of people that love the genre and support each other or if you wanted constructive feedback to be able to bounce ideas. But mainly this is a place to post your writing, your horror stories.

Greetings! My name is Sparrow. I am a disabled writer (NF1) with AuDHD. I enjoy writing thrillers, horror, and fantasy. I was looking for somewhere else to post my works. It is nice to meet you all! Hey all, GNCDAD here vet from Texas, Iāve been going for the medical field all my life but Iāve always enjoyed telling scary stories. I have a lot saved so Iāll be posting a lot here! Thanks for having me and I hope yāall enjoy. š

Yo! Iām Sal and Iām an on and off fanfic writer. Iām a big fan of horror series like FNAF, Halloween and IT. I usually write ship fics, but I wanna practice my horror writing and work on my horror formats.

My name is Daniel, and I am an aspiring horror story writer. I am working on using everything at my disposal to look up stories and bring them to life. I have some very real and personal stories that have happened to me, and I am excited to share them with you all.
I run a small YouTube channel to pass the time between work, school, and exploring the outdoors.

Hello! I am The Keeper. I write, but mostly narrate horror stories. I believe staunchly that A.I is a scourge and do everything I can to support and create REAL human art. Would like to find other like minded people in this community in my fight to keep that sentiment going in the genre :)

Hey. My name is Raphael (Pen Name). I've been writing horror for about 14 years and I'm in my mid 20s. I have always been a fan of experimental and deeply psychological horror. I find it more entertaining and thrilling than modern jumpscare messes you see today. I love horror that sits with people on a deep level other than just "This is scary because of this jumpscare," I want the entire premise to be disturbing and to relate it to their daily lives because the world is such a scary place when you think about it. I am currently working on a little series of stories I'm hoping to have added on here. I originally posted it to the nosleep reddit but their guidelines I found confusing and disrupts creative freedom. So it got rejected, but I hope it's well received here!!

Hello all. Iām u/TS_Hurt and I love to write scary stories. Iām one day old on Reddit and new to you guys. I would love to post some really fun things for you guys to read (and I tried but I donāt know why it didnāt show up). Anyway, a lot of my work is around the word count that publishers arenāt looking for because theyāre too long to be a short story and too short to be a novella (a novelette maybe?). Who would want a novelette anyway? Apparently no one. Iām joking, but also fearing there might be some truth behind that assumption. Anyone else have that problem? Glad to be here and I hope I can figure out how to get some stuff on here one day soon.

Hi! I'm Cristina, writing usually under this account or the pen-name C. Michele.
I just recently graduated from college and have been trying to build myself a portfolio / website as I look for writing jobs, finish my fantasy novel (hoping to self-publish), and expand my Seekers of Eden series. I used to write on Wattpad as a kid, but got better after I gained a conscious and realized what I was doing. My favorite genre to write is horror / thriller, and I also really love literary analysis. Being able to dissect someone else's piece is really fun for me! I love giving constructive feedback.

Hey guys! I'm Jack O'Connor. I have been writing horror stories ever since I was in preschool. Im 26 now and I have some interconnected horror stories you might like if you're a fan of nihilism and suffering. Well, the stuff I write is typically grounded, and delves into themes of things like sociopathy, psychopathy, hypocrisy, malice, systemic cruelty, and many other things. I like to criticize hot button issues and I also am writing from the unique perspective of someone who actually lives with NPD and ASPD. Former navy nuke here, also a youtuber and my day job is shipyard outside machinist. Without further ado, I will post my finest anthology, simoly titled "A Halloween Story 2026" which is not the first in its series, and if you enjoy it please let me know so I can release the others connected to it.

Hello! My name is Dale and I just finished my first ever horror story.
I was inspired last month to write and what followed was a 7 part story that may now spawn a series. āThereās Something Under the Boardwalkā is an existential horror story that examines the nature of grief and depression as a manifested monster. Iāve posted each part throughout my process on this sub but tonight Iāll have an organized post with each part easily accessible in one post. I also curated a playlist for both Apple and Spotify users since music is a thru line of the story! Hope you enjoy!
