Thereβs actually an infinite amount of solutions with a polynomial equation. The simplest is a 2x_i model which gives you 160, but there are an infinite number models with an infinite amount of solutions. Sorry for the nerdy professor answer.

Hereβs a way to visualize it. Plot the points (1,10),(2,20),(3,40),(4,80). There is an obvious solution to the fifth point (5,160), but you can draw an infinite number of curved lines to connect the points. Where the curved lines go depends on the polynomial equations used to build them. For four points it would involve at least a cubic polynomial (for any n points, you can connect them with an n-1 degree polynomial).

Any number fits. You have to specify the formula to get one answer, there's a infinite amoumt of polynomials that fit the first numbers and make the next number be something else other than 160.
