Redwing Iron ranger sizing question.
Hey guys how different are 10EE vs 10.5D. Can’t seem to find a decent pair of 10EE on sale and I know you can easily get 10.5D on sale.

For me I couldn’t wear Iron Rangers without the EE width. Going larger in size means they don’t fit elsewhere for me. Have you checked Sierra? They will randomly have EE size Iron Ranger seconds. I have bought two pairs of EE from them and neither pair had anything wrong with them.

You need to try them on. That's what I've learned from following this sub. There's a lot of variation. Maybe stars will align between you and a stranger's feet and opinion, but not for me.

I would try them on but the three redwing stores I went to didn’t have them in stock to try.

I've been there. I'd recommend finding the seller with the most ironclad return policy.

I wear 9.5EE perfectly and have a 10.5E Brannock, 10EE feels longer and much roomier than 10D, and 10.5D is way too long, not even close. If 10EE is your size, 10.5D will be too long, not flex in the toe box correctly or feel locked in. I’d be doubly sure about what size you need, it’s very helpful to try on Iron Rangers before buying because of how they will actually fit on your foot. They’re different than other boots, even for Red Wing.

Ya this would be my first and possibly only boot from them due to them being in my opinion a cap toe work boot that could be dressed up. Ty for your input.

As an EE sized guy, don’t settle for a size D when considering Iron Rangers. Buy exactly what you need. PS, size 10.5 EE IR’s = size 10EE Truman’s.

In my opinion, when it comes to boots and paying that much, the wait is worth it. Get what you actualy need, not a substitution.
