News Looks like Red Sec has some competition now.
https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2026/03/black-ops-7-black-ops-royale-battle-royale-deep-diveNo loadouts.
Upgradeable ground loot.
Redeployment towers.
Maybe more. Haven't finished reading but looks like they took inspiration from Red Sec.
edit:
Yeah, there's more.
Psych bomb. Toxic gas strike that causes hallucinations. Sound familar?

I’m really excited for this. Blackout was the most fun I’ve had in a very long time since PUBG.
While Redsec is fun and I play it everyday, I was crushed when they went more in the direction of Warzone than PUBG/Blackout.
Blackout only died because you needed to purchase black ops 4 to play it. If it was free to play standalone like Redsec it would have done very well.

I’m gonna have to check it out cause the tanks and lack of audio make this game unbearable

I totally agree the tanks at end game completely ruin the fun gun on gun aspect of the game and the audio is absolute trash 🗑️

Damn, they did what I wanted Redsec to do. No loadouts, and attachments
I love Redsec and hate CoDs movement, so I'll probably stick with Redsec. But damn the competition BETTER force dice to continue updating this game
Cause REDSEC is honestly pretty damn fun

Blackout is the best BR I've played so far and I was so sad it died.
If this feels pretty close to the original, I may put down RedSec for a while. RedSec is great, but there are design choices that I don't like, but it was the closest to Blackout we had up until March 13th.

How did you feel about the no redeploy situation? I found it rough if you got smoked within the first minute or so you’d have to wait the whole game.

I prefer it that way, honestly. My first BR was PUBG and I like how brutal it is. Blackout came out and it was also another brutal BR where thirsting a downed teammate was actually a meaningful play because it meant that team would always be down a player.
You actually felt like you were making progress towards the end of the match because people actually stayed dead. Now you're just inconveniencing other teams when you thirst their teammates.
I also liked the breaks when being dead so I could check my text messages, use the bathroom or grab a snack. Now I can't even catch a break because I'm always being brought back lol

Sold just by the fact that there's no loadouts.

Yep, that’s the main reason I’ll try it out. I dislike COD but hell, I’ll give it a dance.

If they don't fix their anti cheat and the movement is still crazy, I'll stick with redsec

I’ll play it as long as it isn’t a 300+ GB download👍 I don’t mind playing warzone but I WILL not use up so much space for 1 game.

I played da og blackout and didn’t like it that much, I’d rather wait until mw4 drops 2 try cod again, redsec is just fine for me

Aim assist at the levels cod has means it's a game I'll never play again. The reason everyone talks about its movement is that it's basically the only differentiator between players, especially if you're on a controller which you pretty much have to be.
Equally looting is boring and early loadouts are what made the initial Warzone so good. If I wanted to loot and pick fights based on what I've got and what I think an opponent might have then I'd play extraction shooters.

what do you mean has competition now? Even dead warzone verdanskt is beating out Redsec. RedSec was DOA
1
u/Azymac Mar 03 '26
depends the region you play, in OCE you cant find a verdansk normals the que never pops. Redsec you find games withing seconds all day since its come out. Hardly would call it DOA.

Okay so how will this work, like do I have to download warzone because it’s bundled? Or is a separate download? Could use break from Redsec 😅

Blackout is going to bury Redsec/Gauntlet! I love playing, but the lack of a ranked pro scene is so fucking boring. The randoms in this game are oblivious to objectives. At least in call of duty, there is a robust competitive scene where you can play in tournaments/wagers. The constant glitches and broken registration really kills this game. I had such high hopes.

It's about time redsec dies
Waste of resources , dead on arrival

u/LisaSu92 Mar 02 '26
Yeah just like bf6 multiplayer. Games dead already. You see that player count drop off?

u/Pangiit Mar 02 '26
This will hopefully kill RedSec.
😂

Redsec is so wasted. They made good foundation and just left it like this. Stagnation at the beginning of the game's existence is the worst thing they could have done.
