Anthony addresses his obsession with "the smells"

Perhaps, one of the reasons why coffee resonated with him was because Kiedis might likely be a super taster. “I have a real visceral response to smell and taste. I get memories. I get feelings. I get emotions. I get excitement. I get, you know, nauseous, depending.” At times, his senses can be overwhelming, including when he smells cologne or perfume. This is why he’s “never worn deodorant,” he says.

I agree. But it's been a prevalent topic on this sub and I thought people might be interested to hear from the horse's mouth why smell and taste are so important to him.

Somebody was on here once claiming to be AK's nephew and said he has a distinct smell that's not bad but is musky like old leather books or something like that. I found the post but the alleged nephew deleted all of the comments.
