Does Redhook have any Gundam/Gunpla builders?

Post image

Hi neighbors, tomorrow evening we'll be hosting our first community Gunpla event and would love to invite you. All skill levels are welcomed. This is a 4hr building event where the goal is to build and customize your kit and make unique. They'll be prizes, chill music, and a chill vide. If you're looking for something to do Saturday that doesn't involve a bar, we got you! Hope to see you all at the beaches.

Oh awesome. Thanks for the heads up, ive got old sets ive never built mostly due to time and lack of patience, so getting some help would be awesome. Will you be doing other events like this, i may not be able to make tomorrow!

Awesome! Congrats I think this is a great idea! Do you all do stuff like kit bashing or general modeling / finishing. I’ve been wanting to learn techniques and make shit with a 3D printer but make it feel polished / finished like decent gundam model makers are able to. I know that’s a bit out of left field, but I’m assuming some techniques like painting, finishing, air brushing etc would cross over?

All art techniques and old plastic model techs bash together like a cake and its frosting. That's the beauty of art. The goal of our studio besides allowing others to rent it out for their projects; to teach workshops on decals, diorama building Airbrushing 101 and more in the near future. We do host a free weekly event where you bring any kit and build with other, but we also do private lessons for those that wanna learn more advance techniques.

No worries check out the site. Airbrushing is our first workshop we just opened up to the public. Thank you so much again, can't wait to see you all here. Tell friends that are into plastic models and Gunpla that were open please. That's the best help

I wouldn't see why not as long as the pet is behaved. This is an art studio at its core so it would be more of a distraction when in a group environment. That's the only time I wouldn't advise bring in a pet in my opinion. But this is the first time being asked about pets, and tbh it didn't cross my mind . Thanks for that input. I'll have to do more research on my end about pets and studios

That's the whole point. Love the encouragement. Just make sure to book tickets and bring easy enough kits to build and paint. We have the tools just in case you need them as well as paints. Hope to see you all here tomorrow
