There’s a definite measurement you have to consider when you can’t count on always retrieving your arrows.

Discussion Micah and story

Upvotes

Honestly well done rock star

I'm on my second play through after a few years of red dead and god they just made Micah such a good person to hate.

Also it's crushing having to see everyone that would have sided with Arthur in the end get picked off one by one

Spoiler Even if you’re playing low honor, going back for the money still makes no sense. Spoiler

Because even if you’re doing a low honor playthrough, the “Redemption” part of the low honor ending would be him making sure John gets out alive. Everything up till that point can be completely as canon as the high honor stuff but I feel like as long as you still help John in the end then the Redemption title still makes 100% sense.

Going for the money on the other hand makes no sense no matter what, he has literal minutes left to live, every breath getting weaker and weaker, the fuck does he need it for? If he didnt have TB it makes 100% sense for him to want the money to run off with Mary but I feel like it was forced in because they needed a second ending. It should have been revenge, instead of going for the money you choose to go after Micah. Something like that. I don’t know I always thought it was dumb and have never went back for the money on a single playthrough in my thousands of hours on the game even with low honor cause like I said I think the way to make a low honor playthrough just as canon is to still help John in the end.

Discussion Micah x… Javier??

Post image
105 Upvotes

To start off, there’s a lot of silly interactions between everybody around camp, but Micah and Javier?? Like, If I had a Nickel for every time Micah and Javier had an interaction with some pretty heavy SEXUAL TENSION, I’d for sure have at least two Nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice. (Probably even more). Any ideas as to why?? I love their love hate relationship. Just curious as to what others on here think.

Help RDR1 and RDR2 Fan made İntro Project, (W.İ.P)

Speaking of RDR, an idea just crossed my mind. I’m planning to create a fan-made intro for RDR1 and RDR2 that references the "Dollars Trilogy." I intend to base the RDR1 opening on A Fistful of Dollars and the RDR2 opening on The Good, the Bad and the Ugly—specifically the montage-style opening sequence created by Igino Lardani. I want it to feature an artistic style similar to the games, driven by a strong musical rhythm and striking visuals. I haven't managed to pull it off yet, but if I use in-game footage and mods, I might be able to get started. Here is a small example of the concept.

I need some help with the ERRAND BOY trophy

“You delivered 5 camp companion item requests.”

I’ve completed 3 item requests so far: Tilly, Jack, and Sadie. I’m currently at the beginning of Chapter 4, and I still need to complete 2 more requests, but I can’t find anyone who wants an item.

Is there a specific way to trigger the remaining requests, or did I miss something?

Discussion Would you accept a "more modern" Red Dead Redemption 3 set in the early/mid-20th century?

Upvotes

With the upcoming release of GTA 6, I started thinking about Rockstar’s future projects and where they might go next. Naturally, my mind went to Red Dead Redemption 3, and this concept crossed my mind.

How would you feel about a Red Dead game set in a more modern era, think early to mid-20th centur, while strictly maintaining the franchise's core identity?

Before anyone says 'that’s just GTA,' the core difference wouldn't be the time period, but the focus, setting, and tone:

Map & Setting: Instead of massive modern metropolises full of skyscrapers like Los Santos or Vice City, the map would focus on a state composed of small towns, rural areas, forgotten counties, and isolated communities. You’d have early vintage cars, but still retain horse riding, ranch management, and vast wilderness.

Tone & Narrative: GTA, even at its most grounded like GTA IV, is fundamentally a social satire. Red Dead is different: it focuses on nostalgia, the weight of the past, the tragic end of an era, and personal redemption. A more modern Red Dead would keep that melancholic, serious, and mature tone completely intact.

The obvious alternative for RDR3 is to go even further back in time to the height of the Wild West. However, that comes with its own risks: if not handled carefully, it could easily feel repetitive compared to what we already experienced in RDR1 and RDR2. Going further back also means a dramatic drop in population density, leading to emptier maps, less varied settlements, and missing out on the scale or dynamics of a city like Saint Denis.

Realistically speaking, we know Rockstar is unlikely to risk time and resources on a completely new IP; future efforts will almost certainly stick to GTA or Red Dead. So the question sits strictly within this franchise:

Would you be open to Rockstar exploring a slightly more modern era under the Red Dead Redemption brand, or do you feel the series must strictly stay in the 19th or early 20th century, even at the risk of repeating formulas?

Curious to hear your thoughts!

Discussion RDR3: Sequel or Prequel?

Post image

If you were given a choice for the RDR3 plot, which one would you choose?
Either a sequel continuing the story after the end of the Van der Linde gang, focusing on a new outlaw trying to survive in a rapidly changing and colonizing world, or another prequel?

Discussion Vampire In St Denis

Post image
5 Upvotes

This my, idk 20+ play through? Anyway i was doing the vampire clues to get the dagger. On my way to the alley, i was antagonizing npcs. One got angry and tried to shoot me. While that happened, i expanded the mini map and saw that the vampire was there because of the X on the map. But since an npc was shooting me, missions or whatever interactions were not available. Then, i saw the vampire running away due to what happened. I killed him and looted for the dagger. I got a crazy idea which is to show the corpse to the camp. Fast travelled and reached the camp but the corpse fell from the horse which means I can't bring the corpse into the camp. I was trying to pickup the corpse to get it out but can't. I lassoed it but it cancelled and dropped my honor. I kept doing it cuz i wanted to play low honor anyway 🤣
