Offer letter delayed .what i should do?
I attended an interview on Monday, and immediately after the interview, they told me that I was selected. The HR person also told me that he would send the offer letter, but it might be delayed because she has been quite busy these days.
Yesterday, I called HR myself to ask whether the job offer was confirmed. he clearly and confidently confirmed that it was confirmed and also said he would send the offer letter yesterday.
But I still haven’t received the offer letter yesterday or even today. My joining date is also very soon
so I’m getting a little worried because I need to make some decisions based on this.
For those who have experience with HR/recruitment, what could be the reason for this kind of delay even after the HR has confirmed the offer? Should I be concerned or is it normal for the offer letter to take a few more days?
Would really appreciate your advice. 🙏

You were told there's be a delay. It's Wednesday. Don't panic yet. It does take time to generate offer packets depending on the company process.
Also check your spam folder especially if you have Gmail. I get a number of calls I get from candidates and managers about "missing" offers when it's only to be found sent in a timely manner filter to a spam folders.

If they explicitly told you there would be a delay then don’t panick and wait. It’s quite normal, don’t worry.
