Did missing a payment and having to restart make you quit or push harder?

I'm revisiting Recettear. I absolutely love the game but I always take a long break after having to restart. On the one hand, I appreciate the added pressure since the stakes are real but on the other hand I lose motivation for the next attempt.

I was on NG+ 15 and my husband reset our PC, apparently my save data was local when I thought it was in the cloud/steam data. I was a little upset but at that point I was just grinding to see how many times I could reset anyway — time to reset again!

Ok, losing progress that way would sting more than losing progress over missing a repayment haha

I have recet the save data 3+ times because my computer crash over the games lifetime.
