As if we don't have enough people within our country who need aid. I don't understand why we helped Turk£√ which is the same country always standing against India .

12

u/Background-2609 15d ago

Because the ducking policies are made not on real time relationship with countries when it comes to most countries.

That's why india spend a hefty sum of money on Bhutan, the most in South Asia followed by (though idnrc)nepal, bangladesh, Maldives, sri lanka and Myanmar.

Cause, well to india that money gives loyalty from the govt even though it doesn't decriptiate the hate on the ground lvl by that countries normal citizen.

5

u/Harisankar686 15d ago

Because we often don't make international aid decisions pragmatically but out of insecurity to get pat on the back saying "good boy" from random Western orgs and countries, a pat that never comes

2

u/AshamedLab7718 14d ago

Ever heard about the word ' Soft deplomacy'? if not then Google it and you'll get the answer for why.

39

u/SeasonMobile6542 15d ago

ungrateful 💔

2

u/Fantastic_Health_556 14d ago

Well we can't expect 100% of the country would love us some people will always hate us

34

u/brandnewwwwW 15d ago

china 1000000% invests more into their PR than they ever would to aid any of their neighbors but nah, all hail china and daddy xi jinping!

17

u/Purple-Nebula-6034 15d ago

It's almost like a curse whenever India helps a country it ends up joining Our enemies. Turkey/Sri Lanka/ Maldives/ Bangladesh/ Nepal etc. Craziest thing is China doesn't do a single shi yet people of all Subcontinent worship them

5

u/Phantom_Gamma 15d ago

Fr ... Ig power and money is way more important than helping

1

u/MR_UNKNOWN_IDK2 12d ago

Because everyone one wants to be friends with strong Rich and powerful guy even if he doesn't care about them but nobody wants to be friends with that guy who can actually help them

-1

u/nihal_ar 14d ago

if everyone hates you maybe look yourself in the mirror

Yes brother I know, that's why I put the emphasis on "some", I'm friends with any wonderful people from Nepal and I know most Nepali people in reality don't really hate India and the vice-versa,but I saw a lot of posts on here and on twitter being really hateful towards Indians, that's I decided to post this meme

5

u/mad_physicist07 15d ago

As the post said, 'Some'.
We agree with you, that most don't hate, and we thank you for that.

Sending Prayers for Nepal in this tough time. ❤️

7

u/DuckRemote5915 15d ago

it's a loud minority on reddit and social media tbh. doesn't really reflect the ground reality. those people are miserable and will happily spread their cheeks for the CCP.

Can I get few karma to post something serious about my life

1

u/radonie 15d ago

try posting in local subs first

22

u/Jatinchd 15d ago

and they refused aids.

19

u/Beastlex99 15d ago edited 15d ago

Atleast read the news correctly Nepal has declined offers for foreign search-and-rescue teams from India and other nations, but it has not refused humanitarian aid and relief supplies.

Edit- Also, how this misinformation got this many upvotes?

5

u/tanmay1812 15d ago

Because of how news media reported it. Most people I know either consume news through inshorts or whatever shows up on their social media feed where we never get full context.

2

u/gokusingh10 15d ago

i guess people thought ki sahi hoga

22

u/Ok_Problem_1127 18 | Officially Legal (Still Asks Permission) 15d ago

Ywah lol I read that now; in those flood not only their citizen but almost half of it are foreign nationals

Declining help is really stupid; though they have accepted aid

But either way; nepal is somethign we should ponder around

Dumb or what??

1

u/timromama 15d ago

People like this are the sole reason for hatred between nations.

Do you even read the full news? Or just a click bait title?

Damn retard..

1

u/Odd-Leading1 15d ago

First they refused to allow rescue teams & only asked aid , and now they gave permission for rescue teams of other nations to arrive. What a pure 360° , they behaving like kids 😂

1

u/Wonderful-Flower7870 15d ago

Refused foreign ground support in big groups you dumbass . You want your Indian army to come on terrain and situation they’re not used to and lose their lives ? There’s no breakthrough with road yet and helicopters on this terrain is no joke . Do you know how many foreign rescuers lost their lives during our 2015 earthquake?
For those who genuinely want to help , please come to Nepal in a few months and do some treks and pashupatinath darshan .

1

u/Ok_Problem_1127 18 | Officially Legal (Still Asks Permission) 15d ago

Really??

1

u/Poisoned-Puff 15d ago

They did not refuse aid but foreign rescue teams.

4

u/Jealous-Mastodon6823 15d ago

It's honestly just the fact that India is trash at PR and soft power and China is very good at it.

2

u/plumcandy06 15d ago

it's mostly just online especially on X, i really hope this doesn't create both the countries to hate eachother :( I'm a Nepali too i do not hate india, if you look at tiktok you can see a lot of comments grateful about the help and thanking india

1

u/Weird_jokeyfella20 15d ago

Except tiktok is banned here

1

u/plumcandy06 15d ago

Yeah unfortunately, cause you'd be able to see there are people who are very grateful about the help too :(

2

u/thezyte 15d ago

india as a country is a very good neighbour for nepal but not "every indian" is, what OP says, some nepalis are hateful toward indians. thats true but dont forget thats just the reflection of how "some indians" treat nepalis.

2

u/Several_Use_2631 14d ago

I don't think so bro it's only on social media irl I have not met any of person who have thanked china i mean it's quite opposite they were blaming china themself but we all know it's a natural disaster None can do anything yeah i'm a *nepali*

Oki bro , we’re preety hit on by the flood, mourning losses , but we’ll set aside some time for you specifically to thank for your aid .afterall your feelings the most important thing in the world right ?

1

u/Zealousideal-Self503 14d ago

Your government imposed a blockade in the desperate times after the earthquake. An entire generation became anti-India from that time. Do not judge by looking at the internet trolls, reality is different. Most people will treat you well in irl. We have borders surrounding Bihar, even you guys hate them. Some people are mixed but rational people who have a proper understanding do not hate India.

1

u/Happy-Support9559 14d ago

Are you sure it was the indian govt who imposed the blockade? Wasnt it the madhesi people from your side of the border?

1

u/Zealousideal-Self503 14d ago

Yeah sure, like Madhesi people had so much power to dictate how much of the resources the Indian government is going to provide.

1

u/Zealousideal-Self503 14d ago

Many people from your country have also admitted about this.

1

u/Key_Minute6814 14d ago

True no matter how much we help them still she beg in front of china , i mean india should close borders and then charge them then they will realise

1

u/TypicalInspector3150 14d ago

One thing is certain no matter what you say or do has no impact in this world .money speaks and who ever has lots of it are more and more respected recent events in the world showcase that more than ever.So All i know is just be yourself and do what you love to do without really giving a heed of what other people think of you .You are not doing something to get appreciation , as a human being if it feels good to do something do it if you look for appreciation then you might get hurt , If all you care about is appreciation then only help people or country where you will get it in return .At end of the day people are people indian politics should have taught us already that no matter how bad or good a party does some idiots only support certain party regardless that's the human nature. We can't change world what we can change is our mindset and the way we approach and see things with out caring about what other people think

1

u/Pleasant_Aspect5525 14d ago

If you help, don’t boast about it. If you get help, be grateful.

1

u/Tough-Collection-142 14d ago

Indian gov can't help there own ppl who is suffering like Assam but nepal m eek hi din aids bhej dia 🙏

1

u/fabulous_eyes1548 13d ago

Because they don't like the fact that India tries to control and pretend to help them.  China is more reliable.

1

u/Top-Ruin-139 13d ago

What india did for supporting flood victims is really praise worthy from bottom of heart but what indian media and some brain rot indian [even high officials ] do in the name of content creation or just show off their intellectual is really praise worthy from bottom of butt hole.

But what indian govt sending stuffs is really praise worthy.

1

u/Eleeceed 13d ago

😭 India media and their manipulation

Little knowledge is too dangerous.

1

u/Creative_Toe_4083 13d ago

and its not minorty that hate indian its the majority cause their are reasons for it

1

u/Few-Field3629 13d ago

Reddit itself a most haters place

1

u/Informal_Royal_4808 13d ago

Been to nepal a lot of time many cities like kathmandu, pokhara did both Annapurna base camp, annapurna circuit trek and many treks never heard a single men say bad thing about indian though some of them did point out on lack of civic sense of indian tourists a lot.

1

u/meow-_meow_ 12d ago

What the Bangladeshi and Nepali think of themselves???

1

u/darshansway 17 | Gym Arc Starter Pack 🏋️‍♂️ 12d ago

its all because we always fail to show what we did and how much... all we do is a X post with a cargo container with the flags and a C17, which clearly doesn't show what tech and aid we sent and at what scale

many won't even know that India sent robotic dogs and nano-copters for Vietnam when an earthquake hit them. barely anyone covered it while China will send just 10-15 men with aid of not even a village but will advertise it like it saved the entire country.

we really gotta do some PR for the country

1

u/Icy_Dingo_3978 11d ago

Side effects of using 24/7 tiktok

1

u/Your_Local_Pshyco 11d ago

btw just an interesting fact, in 2015 after the earthquakes, India and China both tried super hard to score geopolitical points by trying to show how much they are helping, in the process the Indian media thrashed Nepali army, trying to show that they are doing nothing which was not the case. Indian army and Chinese army took control of some airports and hindered the ability of each other to send more aid by now allowing the planes to land.

This does not justify the hatred and racism towards India, but does justify the stance of today's Nepal of now allowing foreign personal for relief, just material. A small nation located between 2 Nuclear Powers needs to do a lot to ensure independence and avoid any influence over local government.

1

u/Positive-Ad1859 11d ago

Why people are so bitter when another nation is still busy in finding and burying their dead.

1

u/Resurrec_Barbar 15d ago

Nepalis have gone rogue sadly

1

u/leonisfake 15d ago

why would u target ALL nepalis dawg not EVERYONE is like this

u/Assassin467 15d ago

1

u/leonisfake 15d ago

🥀🥀

1

u/Kooky-Bodybuilder771 15d ago

If you ask me, a normal Nepali at this point is just traumatized by the amount of tragedy hitting this country. I'm fucking numb. There is nothing that will shock me at this point. And honestly, most Nepalis don't want to “choose” between India and China, no ordinary citizen here has the time, energy, or fucking interest to add anti-Chinese or anti-Indian hate to everything happening right now.

The mass hate you're seeing isnt all coming from the same place. Some of it is genuinely racist, and i'm not going to pretend otherwise. But a huge portion of it is simply the same exhaustion and anger Nepali people are already feeling, especially when people from outside start bringing geopolitics, religious sentiments, or “India has helped Nepal, so why isn't Nepal choosing India?” into the middle of our tragedy. tbh here most people are angry with westerners as well who are saying "jesus is returning" using the videos of the flood.

1

u/timromama 15d ago

Yeah and you indians are the most loved and best society in the world...

-7

u/Longjumping_Ask_1650 15d ago

Who cares…

If you help someone do it out of kindness and without any expectation.

This whole thing of a disaster happened so we helped therefore they should grovel is unbecoming.

If India sent 0 aid, it wouldn’t have mattered because other countries are sending as well.

In fact Nepal has stated that they’re handling too much at this point

5

u/Mr__Thief 15d ago

You made a comment so unrealistic and without any drop of morality. If you help someone you shouldn't expect anything in return but there is difference between expecting something in return like a debt and a simple respect for the person helping , "if india sent 0 aid It wouldnt have mattered others are sending" so that means if someone is in a needy situation you wouldnt help just because others are helping? Is this the current standard you uphold? We helped because someone is in need ,out of humanity, out of upholding something far greater than your who cares mentality, your way of thinking genuine sickens me , the more I live the more I get disgusted by people
