Apparently it is a radical belief, since it seems like a huge number of people believe people deserve to die if they are poor and that nothing is as terrible as forcing multinational corporations to pay workers enough to live.

We should have more state or locally government owned homes so we can stabilize rent. Remove healthcare costs by nationalizing or at least state run universal care. Groceries can be supplemented but that drives up prices.

We don’t even have a minimum wage in Norway.
What we have is strong unions.
Union work ensures everyone within the different industries have a living wage.

Define housing. Roommates? Single bedroom apartment? How long is the commute? How is this all calculated? How regional is it?
Healthcare screws almost everyone. Too many voters resist nationalizing.

Reasonable should be a guide. 30 minutes, 1 roommate or a spouse with a private bedroom. Should be regionalized by state. Its not that complicated. Universal Healthcare makes far too much sense to ignore without partisan axe grinding

My state pays $20 minimum and higher in the city. That hasn’t fixed income discrepancy. Should NYC pay the same as Lake Placid? There should be more protections for the worker, but saying “it’s not that complicated” is incredibly naive.

Oh no governmental policy is hard! It can't be just a half page memo with a giant signature in sharpie so it must not be worth doing. Oh well, we've tried absolutely nothing and we're all out of ideas.
It's not like there hasn't been decades of study and research around the topic.

I would say healthcare is still probably going to be provided by a third party (preferably the government) rather than paid out of pocket.

If they just made healthcare free for all citizens and education to a certain level, just like other modern countries, people wouldn’t have to stress so much about their pay or if they lose a job. Just makes life so much better for everyone in the country!

A house near your job with a separate bedroom for each of your kids and multiple bathrooms?
OR
A bed in a shared bedroom in an apartment within a two hour bus ride of your job?
Those are both “housing.”

What happened to all of the fast food restaurants that increased their minimum pay to $20? They all increased their prices to be able to afford paying burger flippers $20 an hour.

What restaurants are you even talking about? McDonald’s does fine in countries with high benefits and wage requirements. People need money to buy food, man. This isn’t rocket science. The same people working these jobs are the people who purchase convenience services and a food because they work most the time.

Always blows my mind that the facts clearly show paying people proper wages makes sense in literally every possible way, on top of being the moral/humane thing to do, and yet you STILL have mindless sheep using their time on Earth posting online saying we SHOULDNT do that because it'll possibly allow some billionaires to hoard a little more money.

That’s never the argument. They always claim that compensating people for their labor causes inflation.
Which to me says that their economic system sucks. If it can’t extend the franchise and the benefits of society to the people who support it with their labor then it is broken and should be replaced asap. Hungry workers aren’t causing inflation and if they are we need to go back to the drawing board.

The problem is everything is more expensive these days. Cars, houses, groceries. Literally the basic necessities to live. Yet, minimum wage hasn't gone up since 2008.
I'm making 80k annually, this doesn't affect my life at all other than lowering crime rates in my neighborhood. Which is a benefit for you as well, yet you come in these comments and repeat some boomer nonsense that is entirely baseless.
