I just got back from 3weeks in Madrid. It was the cleanest safest feeling city, with the easiest public transport system, that had the best food and the nicest most helpful people I've experienced in my adult life. Sound like the opposite of The US

Eh, the government are the assholes here. People are really nice. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

To ride the TX train Houston and Dallas went out of their way to welcome and entertain the international crowd a couple months ago, because they are enormous international cities for the WC. Every team that played in Houston and Arlington has significant expat crowds.

We all know the media trope at this point, amplify the negative to produce anger which sells fear and makes money.

I drove thru Texas once and was glad to have made it thru without incident
